Bavarian Hospitality Excellence
Everything worked well, except we found it strange that such a nice hotel did not have a place in the lobby for visitors to even sit and wait. Not a single chair or sofa. Possibly the watches exhibition took over some of the adjacent space. Location and surrounding area excellent. Everything of interest was within walking distance, yet we were away from the hub hub. Staff was extremely friendly, the cellar restaurant served excellent traditional Bavarian food. Breakfast on the rooftop was a delight. Great spread and open till 11:00 am. A good way to start the day. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and enjoyed the fall foliage colours.
We enjoyed the Tantris Restaurant - rated amongst the top 50 in the world. There is a lot more to do around Munich, but then you need a good week and book your trip in advance with tours. We went to splurge in Munich for 4 days and relaxed there.
