Acceptable with reservations
We upgraded to a family room. It was spacious but one of the beds was lumpy causing back problems for both my wife and me. The other bed was fine so at least my mother was happy. Location was good. The in room refrigerator was not working, the toilet leaked, and one of the lamps was plugged into a faulty recepticle but all of these things were promptly fixed by management the next day.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Several trails a few blocks behind the hotel for running/walking along the base of the SF Peaks.

For the price, perfect basecamp for daily excursions.
Needed a room to serve as basecamp for visiting the Grand Canyon one day, Meteor Crater, Winslow, and Flagstaff one day. This was perfect! The room rate was great. We grabbed complimentary breakfast of cereal, juice, waffle, donuts and coffee before heading out each day to see the sights. And, I was able to do a couple of loads of laundry on site. The family suite allowed my husband, two teen aged boys and I room to have plenty of room. The bedding was not as plush as I would have liked but as I said for the price, PERFECT!
I booked a family suite but didnt specify the two queens w/ bunk bed instead of two queens w/ sleeper sofa and thats what we were given. I called the desk and they immediately moved us to the bunk bed set up. From the booking website I didnt realize there were two kinds of family suites. Make sure you specify what you want.
