Winter - take a comforter or sleeping bag
Super 8 in Williams AZ is serviceable. Room was clean and well-maintained, but we could not get it warm enought for our comfort level. Fortunately, we had sleeping bags in the car in case of a weather emergency that we used as comforters. We checked in on two different nights. The first host seemed abrupt and I wondered why they were in a customer service business. The second host greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. Continental breakfast was adequate. English muffins were good. Orange marmalade would have been nice.

Lacking in charm
This hotel is away from the lively center of town. The breakfast is bare minimum, low quality. It is a place to sleep, but has nothing to recommend.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I would stay in town along old route 66, with lots of lively places to go after a day at the canyon.

Bare-bones and expensive...outside of really cool town
Rooms were bare minimum comfort...small...continental breakfast was sparse and hotel was out of town proper...would NOT stay here again...
