Great Location
This hotel is probably 20 minutes from Sedona. At 75 MPH on the freeway you get there in no time. So why spend a lot of money in Sedona on a room with traffic congestion and where parking is scarce. The hotel was fine, we werent there much anyway. The breakfast isnt big but it is adequate when you want to get out and about quickly. After a week we wanted something different though. Lots of fast food and Dennys nearby. Centrally located to get to Montezumas castle or Jerome, or Flagstaff, or Sedona, or Prescott. The road from Camp Verde to Sedona takes you by Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, and the back side of Cathedral Rock. If you stayed in Sedona and never came down that way you would really miss something special. The staff at the hotel were great. Hot coffee and popcorn in the lobby every night. If we go to the Sedona area again we will stay here again.
We really enjoyed Montezumas Castle. As a handicapped person it was one of the most accessible National Monuments to me with my walker. The path was very flat and paved. There were workers on the cliff at the time which were a distraction in my pictures but it put the size of the cliff dwellings into perspective. Take binoculars with you so you can see the cliff dwellings close up. I dont think the walk from the parking lot to the castle was more than 100 yards.

Clean, comfortable room at a value price
Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Camp Verde/Sedona area! Very affordable, quiet area with lots of restaurants nearby and even some nice shopping. Easy access at HW 260/I-17 junction. Clean, comfortable room; friendly, efficient service-they even had free popcorn in the lobby every evening! Very clean pool and hot tub. Dont miss trying an ice cream at nearby Coldstone Creamery! Also, dont miss touring Red Rock Loop, Montezuma Well, Slide Rock St. Park, and the Oak Creek area north on 89A.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If youre headed to the Sedona area, consider staying here rather than paying the higher prices in Sedona itself-very nice place to stay, only about 15 miles to Sedona.
