Bad smells and rotten bed/bedding.
The room was the worst smoking room I have ever stayed in. The smell was so bad when you entered it actually made you take a physical step back. We thought we could air it out when we opened the window - but no luck. We actually left the window open, the air conditioner on to circulate the air, and the fan on in the bathroom while we left for a few hours and it didn’t help. The fact that there is a paper mill across the river doesn’t help with the air quality either. The bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable as were the pillows. I even requested two extra pillows and ended up with four awful pillows instead of just two. We left the next morning with sore backs, smelly clothes and headaches from lack of sleep wishing we hadn’t tried to save a little money. Next time we will be splurging for a much better place.
