Good for the budget minded

Older hotel within walking distance of the beach, shopping and some resturants. Bathroom needed some work and the showerhead needed replaced. Beds were ok but a little on the lumpy side. If you are on a budget this place is good but of you can afford to stay in a little more expensive hotel then I would go that route.

Will not stay ever again !!!!!

Reserved room months in advance. Asked for a crib to be in room. Called one week prior to arriving to make sure everything was in order, crib and all. Get there no crib,son had to sleep on floor. Manager was rude said I could leave if I wanted. Didn’t try to make things right,no apologies,nothing. Will not stay there ever.

Rude management

Friends and I went over spring break, and we were treated very rudely by hotel management. They tried charging us twice for wristbands that were required to be worn at all times for security purposes. Then they refused to believe we had already paid them because they forgot to give us a receipt. I’ve worked in customer service, and I thought the customer was always supposed to be right, especially when they actually are right. Management there must not care very much about their reputation, if they would risk it for a $15 wristband fee.

Not even good for a college spring breaker.

Breakfast was horrible. Juice was waterd down. bagels were cold.Too many rules and regulations.Bathroom had an smelly odor and the maids did not clean to our satisfaction. Service was not quality.

Good spring break on the island. wouldnt stay at this hotel again though. I would advise you to get a closer hotel to the beach or on the beach.

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was perfect. We loved spending time to discussed with others clients.

Met my expectations

Just what I expected for the price, it’s a good option for a short trip to the island. If you are planning to hit the beach, keep in mind that you’ll have to drive, since it’s not close enough for a walk, carrying all the gear.

Smelly Rooms

The rooms are very damp and smell of suntan lotion mixed with chlorine. It had very much a lingering effect.The mattresses were very uncomfortable and were covered with plastic, creating a sweaty and noisy night for us. Management was very miserly in its continental breakfast portions. The juices were watered down, waffle mix had no flavor, the milk for the cereal was provided in no more than 1 pint rations. The lady from the front desk had to keep coming into the breakfast area to refill since she wouldn’t refill the carafe higher than 3 inches from the bottom. Should have refilled for the families that were constantly waiting to serve themselves. Unfriendly family experience. OK for a one night stay, not more than that.

I’ve stayed at other Super 8’s and they were not clean and not a pleasant stay. This motel was a lot better. very surprised.

Good hotel in South Padre Island

The hotel is very good and very well placed in the city. It is near the beach and the bay (two blocks). The room is very big with a little kichen and a good bathroom

Hit and Miss

The front desk staff were friendly and easy to deal with. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located midway (north to south) along the island’s attractions and only a block or two from seaside or bayside. However, the WiFi access was horrendously slow and the floor of the room (tiles, no carpet) wasn’t swept during our stay (4 days, 3 nights). The air condition, too, never seemed up to the task and often times our room was warmer than outside, even though it was December. The continental breakfast was par for the course.

Plenty to see and do, even if you don’t want to lounge on the beach all day. Be sure to check out Sea Turles, Inc. Isle Blanca Beach Park, and Port Isabel.
