Underwhelmed by service
When we arrived at the hotel, the clerk at the check-in counter did not say a word! I gave her my reservation information, and she merely took it. It took 10 minutes for her to complete the check in, then she gave a 3 sentence monologue on hotel ammenities. In the room, there were ants on the floor. We were given only 2 towels, and we had to track down the housekeeper one day to get new ones because they forgot to clean our room. Overall, not very happy with the room. We will not be staying there again, which is ashamed since we travel to Athens often.

Joe Wheeler State Park is within 20 miles of Athens. Huntsville, and Decatur are both within half an hour of Athens and offer a variety of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment options.

Remodled and Very Nice
Hotel was recently remodeled and the Rooms are very nice. Lobby was expecially clean and free breakfast was wonderful. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.
