Bakersfield Hotel
The hotel was right off the freeway, which was very important since I was travelling with my young daughter. I felt very safe and the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

Questionable Neighborhood, Close to Everything
This is a nice hotel with very reasonable rates. My stay was 1/2 of the cost I was quoted for another property close by. The staff was very friendly during check-in, and when I interacted with them. Business Travelers: they only have 1 key for the "business center" (1 computer, thrift store furniture) so you have to get it from the front desk. My room was on the 4th floor, as is the business center. What sense does it make to leave your room, go down to the lobby, get the key, return to the business center, go back to the lobby to drop off the key, and then go back to your room? Not much... The hotel backs to rail road tracks. They are almost unavoidable in Bakersfield, but future guests should be aware that the trains are active and do blow their horns at all hours of the night. Additionally, the neighborhood is less desirable than some of the more upscale areas. Make sure you observe normal safety / security procedures, as you should anywhere, including looking around as you walk to your car.

Nice hotel for the price
I stayed in this hotel on my way to Las Vegas. The hotel is clean and well maintained. . For the price I paid, I am quite satisfied with the service I got.
