Great location and reasonable for Brussels
Stayed twice at the Astrid into and out of Europe. Rooms were clean and up to standard European fare. Execellent place from which to walk central Brussels. Internet is 10E for an entire day. 20 minute walk from north station. Go straight out of south entrance until you reach the Panasonic tower, then turn right two blocks. Had early flights, so didnt try the breakfast. Seemed a bit high at 10E.

You Pay For What You Get - You pay Cheap - You get Crap
We stayed at this gargabge hotel for one night because all the other major hotels in the area were sold out because of a convention on that day/night. You will sleep on beds that slump to the ground (I actually slept on the floor that night because the floor gave more support than the bed), a pillow that you get on an airplane, super thin with no support at all, 2 super thin shower towels. We asked for more towels, they do not give you extra towels. We asked for extra pillows, they do not give you extra pillows. You are getting the bare minimum here and I mean the bare minimum. The hotel is old and everything in it is old and has that smell of things being old. We immediately checked out that next morning, early, as soon as we got up. I could not wait to leave this hotel. If possible, avoid it, you will not be happy. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the price is cheap but when you see what you get, you realize it is better to pay more and stay at a decent hotel. If you are married, your wife will hate it even more
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Only use this hotel as a last resort. Meaning if all other major hotels are sold out in this area and you have no where else to turn to, then stay here; otherwise, go somewhere else.

Creepy Hotel
This hotel is close to the plaza but the hotel is not a 3 star hotel i would say probably 2 at the max. Dingy halls, bathrooms from the 70s it just needs alot of updating. Very noisy - even when windows were closed. Would not recommend hotel. Pay a little extra go somewhere else.
