Homecoming Weekend at CA
Wanted a place close to campus because we were there for homecoming. Hotel fit the bill. Would have been good to know that there was only limited parking, we had to park and walk about 15 minutes.

Noisy (thin walls between rooms) Isn’t there a better hotel in Berkeley?
We were told this was the place to stay in Berkeley and that the hotel had been extensively upgraded and remodeled. While some of the fit and finish is new, the rooms are small and the walls between the rooms are thin. We were travelling with family and kids (in a few different rooms) and when we showed up the guests in the room next door to one of the rooms were having intimate relations and the sound passed right through the walls. The kids were disturbed and upset by the sound and so we had to move. In one of the other rooms the kids had trouble sleeping because someone in the next room had a tv on too loud. The staff tried to be helpful but I got the impression they were a little overwhelmed. On the plus side, you can’t ask for a better location if you are visiting the campus . . .
