Great Ambiance

The first floor lobby leads into a bar/lounge area that overlooks small park consisting of a wonderful series of waterfalls and a large fish pond. It is very relaxing to sit there and have a cup of tea and gaze out on the little park-like setting.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

There is a shopping mall underneath the hotel that is really convenient with a variety of shops, restaurants and the signature Lotte Department Store. It is also a convenient location for a number of Seoul tours that leave directly from the hotel.

Puts the F in Fancy

The Hotel Lotte was luxurious, well located right by Myong Dong and in walking distance to many sights and places. The people here were great and the room had every amenity, even American-style electrical plugs. The tea room, or floor was pretty amazing. This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Take a bus in and out from the airport. It is easier to navigate than I thought and saves about $90.

Great Hotel

Hmm, one of the best hotel properties I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed at the new wing of the hotel on the 24th floor and the view of Seoul was spectacular. Also there was plenty to do in and around the hotel. The only disappointments was that the beds were VERY firm and there seemed to be cigarette smoke coming in the vents sometimes. However that is not unusual for hotels in Asia. Overall I would recommend this hotel and will certainly stay there again the next time I’m in Seoul

Traveler's tip on shopping

Lots of street vendors near the hotel and across the street. Shop there first before hitting the department stores.

Highly recommended

Service was impeccable! and the rate I found on Expedia was the best! I stayed on the new "Ladies Floor" which offered added security and a Ladies Lounge. Be sure to take advantage of the excellent Bose surround sound and entertainment center by renting a DVD from their great selection for free! Also, the Lotte underground Food Court was EXCELLENT. I had three meals here and I never got tired of it! So much variety!! and the subway is directly linked to the Hotel/Lotte Shopping Center.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Very helpful Subway maps can be attained from the friendly Concierge. You must experience the adjacent shopping area, Myundong. All you have to do is go underground and it’s on the other side of the street. Also, Insadong (eclectic cultural art district) is just a short cab ride away and explore the great Palace a short walk away.

Great location

The hotel is gorgeous. We choose the updated wing....so the rooms were beautiful. We esp. loved that it is centrally located in Myeong Dong. My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Outstanding !

Reservation was made at the last minute. Expedia had a better rate than calling the hotel directly !! This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I travel for business & stay at a lot of mediocre hotels. This place is a gem! The location is fantastic, & the service & room were outstanding. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you want a cocktail, try the Bobby London Pub on the lower level. It has drinks, food, music & billiards. The drinks in the lobby bar are a lot more expensive.

Good location

This hotel was pretty good. The only problem I had with it was that the safe in the room didn’t work. Other than that it was good. We were able to see the Cheong Wa Dae (or the Blue House) which is the executive office and official residence of the President of South Korea. We were within walking distance of Seoul Station and a casino that is close to there. By walking distance I mean a good walk, you wouldn’t want to carry your luggage from Seoul Station to this hotel. There was an airport bus that drops and picks you up from right in front of the hotel.

Traveler's tip on shopping

If you want to buy kimchee and other stuff, check out the Lotte Mart at Seoul Station. Also, if you like Casinos you can walk to the Seven Star Casino located in a different hotel.

Beautiful...

This is certainly one of Seoul’s high-end hotels. The service is excellent. I used the concierge service for dining, transportation and tours. Everyone was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey, but nothing I wouldn’t expect from a hotel of this caliber. The currency exchange rates were also pretty fair, I thought.
