Caught me by surprise!
To begin with, its about a 15min ride from the airport and situation in a walking distance to old town. Theres a train station near by and for those that want to party, Hollywood(night club) and SOHO(adult)are five to ten minute cab ride away. The restaurant downstairs are immaculate but not 24hrs. Small Machine casino rm is open 24hrs. The early breakfast was great and the US embassy is less than ten minutes away. Bathrooms were fully stocked. There was a service menu but when I called I was told there was no rm service. Overall, you get your moneys worth.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Hollywood is one the best places to go. Prive is also another popular college scene area. When at Hollywood, just walk up to the bouncer and ask him about the VIP rooms. (itll cost you less than 10dollars!) Theyll walk you in and check your coat in for you. Great service and a well balanced crowd. Wednesday nights is ladies night. Theres an after hours place called Mr.Robinsons. Its mostly Russian but we all had a good time there. I hope it helps.

Meriton cant be beat.
This is a perfect spot for a visit to Tallinn. The hotel overlooks Upper Old Town with a spectacular view of Toompean, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, etc. Service was first rate. There is a very nice cafe on the first floor for eating throughout the day (until 10 p.m.). I was there during "off" season, you might say, so it was kind of lonely in the dining room, but otherwise, very comfortable. You can walk straight across the hill to the City Center (about a 15-minute walk and good exercise) so there is no need for buses or taxis. Estonia Theater, National Library, Old Town all easy walking. Highly recommend.

decent budget hotel -nice location
Located just outside the upper part of the Old City, its a modernized Soviet-era hotel. Friendly staff, decent food, a bit dated. Daily room cleaning was not so good, but hotel was comfortable. If you get a deal on your room rate, its a nice place to stay.
