The fitness club facilities
The hotel is nice and a good value, however the advertised fitness club facilities are limited in availability as non-guest club members have priority over the hotel’s guests in booking. Point in fact my wife and I wanted massages. We tried to book with one and with two days notice, and we were only able to get one appointment in all. We contacted management after our return to the US and were told that that’s how it is and to let them know in advance of our next visit. I recommended that the hotel contacts guests in advance of their visit to encourage pre-booking of fitness club services, or to hire back-up staff. Haven’t received a response.

Functional hotel plus with great pools
Very polite, good service, impressed overall. Hotel itself is a bit in flux - a lot of old-timers/locals who come and hang out at the pool with not a lot of families, but seems hotel is trying to rebrand itself. Great pools, inside and out, free spa/sauna, great gym - a lot of extracurriculars and just outside downtown Lyon, so feel you’re a bit in the suburbs as well. Easy to get in and out of downtown.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
They charge 15 euros a night for parking, but we had no problem parking just across the street for free.

It’s Better days are gone, but....
It’s clean, it’s big. The restuarant "La Plage" is actually quite good. It’s not a destination hotel in my opinion, but if you need to land somewhere in Lyon (if there is a train strike for example...) then, this is a viable option for the luxury conscious traveler.
