We have been going to Hawaii every year since 1990. This year we decided to try Florida. We had a wonderful time at the Gullwing Resort. I can’t even begin to tell you how beautiful our 2 bedroom-Living Room was. It was so clean and had everything you would ever want. Beautiful Decor, felt like a 5 star. We enjoyed talking with the staff and they were so helpful and friendly. We met owners and alot of families on vacation and enjoyed our time with them. It felt like we had known everyone forever. Such a pleasant atmosphere. You will love the setting, sunsets,pool and barbecue area, so close to the sand. A new found tropical paradise. Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT IMPRESSED

I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE SINK IN THE BAR AREA, THE ROOM HAS A VERY BAD ODOR , I CALLED MAINTENANCE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM FRIDAY WHEN I CHECK IN AND MAINTENANCE CAME TO THE ROOM UNTIL NEXT DAY AT 11 AM. I REQUESTED TO SWITCH ROOM BECAUSE SMELL SO BAD AND WE COULDN’T TAKE BREAKFAST BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. THEY MOVED US TO A SMALLER CONDO . MONDAY (THE DAY OF OUR CHECK OUT, THEY DID NOT ALOWED US TO STAY(LATE CHECK OUT) I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HOTEL

Fantastic room, extremely friendly employees, great location, awesome beach! Would definately go back again! I did not have a single complaint!

Great Getaway

Wife and I went for Columbus Day weekend and loved it. Beautiful condo. Side lanai looked out on to the Gulf in one direction and the bay in the other direction. Great master suite. Pool area has grills if you want to use them. Beach is very deep with soft white sand. Nice location at south end of Fort Myers Beach. Grocery store about 1 mile away. Family oriented. Waverunner rentals out front on beach. Boat rentals nearby. We rented kayaks at nearby Lovers Key state park. I highly recommend South Beach restaurant in nearby strip mall. Overall highly recommended if a family oriented place is what you are looking for.

South Beach Restaurant has great choices at reasonable prices and was running many specials when we were there.

An Exelent place to stay

Beautiful building, excellent servise, wonderful kitchens, in room washer and dryer, great veiws, Physical fitness rooms, on the Gulf of Mexico. Just a really great place to stay!

One of the Best Vacations We Ever Had!!

Our family of four (2 teenage boys included) stayed at the Gullwing for 8 days in the beginning of August. We absolutely loved it there! The room was so spacious and clean -- we felt like we were right at home. We loved the fact that we were beachfront as we were on the beach every day of our stay. You definitely need to rent a car to get around to other places and for eating out. Times Square was really cool to walk around in. The kids loved it. All in all we would recommend the Gullwing to anyone who is looking for a great place to relax and enjoy their stay with their families. We will definitely be back!! ;)

Traveler's tip on dining

We shopped at Publix supermarket the first day and saved a lot of money for breakfast and lunch. Also, make sure you take a ride to Pinchers for the best garlic crabs - you won’t be disappointed!

Great family location

Located right on Fort Myers Beach, we stayed in a 3 bedroom condo with a spectacular ocean view. The set-up of the condo was great. The front desk was extremely kind and helpful. Coffee available free all day.

There is a movie theater 1/2 a block away, and a Publix food store 2 miles away. The condo complex has a communal barbecue area near the pool. Renting a car is helpful. Sanibel island is only a 20 min drive away and is a great site to visit. Wear foot protection in the water (sharp shells).

Great place to stay!

Very nice, spacious rooms. Para-sailing and jet ski rentals on the beach in front of the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Full kitchens and washer/driers. Beaches are spacious, clean and uncrowded. Highly recommend!

No stores or restaurants are within walking distance; you will need a rental car.

This is the second year we’ve stayed at the Gullwing Beach Resort and we will continue to stay there every year we visit Ft. Myers Beach. This resort is well maintained, has awesome staff, and is great for the family. It is very clean and we couldn’t ask for a better place to stay; it’s home away from home!

Nice, clean, convenient to groceries, restaurants, shopping, state park, and right on the beach!

I will stay there again and again.

When you pick out a hotel or in this case a condo online you’re a little leery. There were plenty of pictures online to look at but still it wasn’t like being there to pick it out yourself. Wow was I pleasantly surprised! It was very nice and I hope I can go back again soon. Everything the website offered about the condo it delivered. The room,the pool and the beach were all very clean. The workers at the Gullwing work very hard keeping things clean and in working order.

Would go back in a heartbeat!

Went for 3 nights to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. Staff at the hotel were very nice and the front desk people were very accommodating and helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. The room was great, had a view of the bay and the beach. Very roomy with everything we needed. The beach is fantastic, spend the $25 for a couple chairs and umbrella and spend the day out there. Couple good restaurants within walking distance and a Publix about a mile down the road for all the groceries you need. Great trip all around, we will probably go back with her kids in a year or two.

Wonderful Place to Stay!

My family and I just returned from an 8 day stay at Gull Wing 5/22/09 - 5/29/09. Myself, Husband, and two small children ages 4 and 1. They provided free of charge a large crib with sheet and blanket and high chair. We had what I thought was one of the best views from our balcony, room 804. If you looked to the left you could see the ocean and to the right the whole bay and Ft. Myers Beach. Our room, it was VERY clean. The pool area was not large but was never overly busy and lots of chairs to use. They also had four gas grills to use, which we did for steaks. There is a bridge from the pool area to the beach and then a bit of a walk to the ocean, but the sand is very soft and white. You can rent chairs and umbrellas right on the beach for $25 a day. The staff was very friendly and helpful even when I put my room card in my pocket with my cell phone and become deactivated which they quickly fixed for me at the front desk on the second floor. We also had a little issue when my four year old decided to push in the lock to the second bathroom and close it as he walked out, so he locked it from the outside. We called the front desk and didn’t even wait five minutes and there was a very nice woman with a tool that looked like an ice pick to pop the lock open. This is a great place for a family vacation and we loved staying here! We plan to come back within the year and stay here again.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Grocery stores are a quick drive up Estero Blvd to either Publix or Topps. CVS is up the street to the right within walking distance.

Loved it!

Went with my husband and 2 sons, 18 & 20yrs. Had a fabulous, relaxing vacation. Beach is fantastic! Water was pleasantly clear and warm. Our 3 bedroom condo was large and clean. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch with views of the gulf and bay. Check out Snug Harbor restaurant at the Northern end of Ft Myers Beach in "Times Square". It’s right on the water and you can eat outside on the deck. We ate there our last night and would have gone back again had there been time. Traveled 30 min. to Sannibel Isaland and there are many quaint shops as well as a delicious Italian restaurant, Mezzaluna. Be prepared to pay $6.00 for the causeway fee. Also rented a boat for 1/2day and my sons fished and we were excited to see many dolphins and mannatees! Definitely will return,

Would go back in a heartbeat!!

Loved the place. Went with my two year old and four year old, step-mom and my brother. We are all different ages and we all loved it. Beach is a little walk from the condo, but well worth the walk. Its on the ocean but the beach is huge. Wouldn’t stop us from going back. Great place.....

Would love to take the whole family for a holiday.

My daughter & I went on a mini vacation here and it was awesome. The weather cooperated and we had upper 80’s. The beach was pristine and views were great. We would like to go back during a big holiday and have the whole family there to experience all that we did. More than we expected. Just a great kick back experience overall.

WIll return again next year

Overall,very satisfied with the accomodations. Its nearness to grocery stores, dining, and leisure shopping a plus. Far enough away from the pier,bridge,and main business district to allow relaxation. Good beach access. Able to walk quite a distance.

Exactly what we hoped it would be!

This was our 25th anniversary trip and it was just perfect! We really enjoyed driving to Sanibel and looking for shells. Shells are everywhere you look. It’s addicting! Also we loved the nice grills right on the beach front,pool side. It was so relaxing... laid back kind of atmosphere! Beautiful sunsets! We can’t wait to return! Go,go go you will just love it! A perfect second honeymoon!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The only thing that disappointed us...but we knew this going in to the trip, you have to rent umbrellas and chairs at $20 a day for two people. Stop at Walmart on your way to the hotel from the airport and buy two beach chairs and umbrella. When you leave.. donate them to another in coming guest! It’s way cheaper by far!

Nice Place

Enjoyed everything about our stay at the Gullwing - clean, modern, comfortable. Staff was very nice, Beautiful stretch of beach. We didn’t want to leave.

Will stay again

Excellent hotel. The 2 bedroom condo we had was great with an amazing view. Very clean. Having a washer and dryer, kitchenware and nice kitchen made our trip very easy. Had our son’s crib and a high chair waiting when we got there. Would highly recommend. We are thinking of going again in November and will definitly stay there again.

We went to the local grocery store and bought food for breakfast,lunch and snacks. Worked out great that we only had to eat out for dinner.

My daughters loved the beach . Every morning we got up and went to the beach. I would walk up to the room around noon and make lunch and bring it back to the beach. we stay on the beach until about 2 then we hit the pool on the way back to our condo.Very clean.You can see the beach from your balcony.We are going back every year. Loved it.

I went to the Publix , about 2 miles down the road. I bought breakfast foods and lunch meat . we ate out every night. I recommend Charlies Boathouse. Its across the street and has a great salad bar.There’s also a movie theater across the street as well. We went to the pier one night and there were street performers making balloon animals and playing music. We also saw dolphins swimming by the pier.

Great beachfront condo

Great location on a quieter stretch of Ft Myers Island with beautiful white beach.

Terrible TV and garments

Needs new televisions, matresses because these are terrible and very old.. It needs to be updated.. I was really upset with my stay there..
