Getting there: Guests may take a Skybus airport shuttle service to the Southern Cross train station, and continue on a connecting shuttle direct to the Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne. Taxis and rental car hire are also available.

Trains, trams, and buses provide a comprehensive travel network in Melbourne, but most visitors can make do with just the trams, which not only connect most places of interest in the city centre, but are a cultural icon in the city. Driving directions from Melbourne International Airport (MEL): Exit the airport and take the Tullamarine Freeway, following sign-posted directions to the city. (The Tullamarine Freeway requires a toll that must be paid electronically with a CityLink pass. Check for information with your car rental firm.) Take the Kings Way and head toward the city over Kings Bridge. Once over the bridge, take the first right and travel along Flinders Street.
