We’ll be back!

The Resort is very good! They need to improve two things: the friendliness of the concierge and the acoustic of the "casitas" (we could hear many things of the couple that stayed at our side).

Can’t wait to go back. The service staff is awesome... very special.

The Divi Aruba is a great place to relax. Everything you need... food, drinks, entertainment. The staff is more than accommodating and friendly. It feels like ’going home’. Close to downtown and other activities on the island. Aruba has all you need for a perfect sunshine vacation.

Nice.

Our experience at the hotel exceeded my expectations. While the rooms aren’t all that impressive, they are all quite close to the beach, which is what really matters. The food was much better than I expected from an all-inclusive, and they keep the beverages flowing, even when you don’t ask for a refill.

Traveler's tip on dining

Make reservations for the hotel restaurants when you arrive, otherwise you’ll be stuck at the buffet (reservations can only be made 2 days in advance, so you’ll have to visit the desk multiple times). The Asian restaurant, Ginger, was quite good.

Can’t wait to go back

The Divi All Inclusive Hotel is one of those gems you find very rarely. The hotel is older than some of the high rise hotels, but it is clean and comfortable. One minor complaint we had was that the tennis clinic that was scheduled every day, did not happen every day. No one was quite sure when the tennis clinic occured. That is a minor complaint because overall we enjoyed every minute of our trip.

Not impressed at all..Sub par at best

The Divi all-inclusive hotel was sub par at best. I expected much more for a 3 1/2 star resort. The beach and pool areas for this hotel are beautiful but the hotel lacks in many areas. We were on our Honeymoon and upgraded to the Honeymoon package which was to include an upgraded room to a beachfront or ocean view room. Instead we got a view of an abandoned lot with a bunch of wood and trash. We complained and were moved to a room with a better view. The room smelled overwhelmingly moldy (thank God I was smart enough to bring Glade Plug-ins). The curtains and furniture were from the 1980’s. The bed was hard. The shower curtain was dirty. The room had cobwebs. The food was ok, but the wait staff was always rude and/or upset. When I asked the Bell man for a bottle of water, he informed me they were only for the guests that were arriving that day. When my husband asked for a glass of water during breakfast, the waiter stormed off and when he returned slammed the glass of water on our table. The best thing about the hotel was the all inclusive drinks that aloud us to drown out our disappointments.

Great Vacation

From the moment we arrived, our stay was extraordinary. Aruba is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation and the Divi was a great value. Some reviews were negative but we had a very positive experience. Best beach on the island, restaurants were nice and it was easy to make reservations.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Even though you are paying for the all-inclusive, definately take a trip into town for dinner. El Gaucho was one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten in! Also, rent a car for a day to see the sights. It is such a small island that 1 or 2 days is enough time to see it all. Also use the bicycles provided by the hotel and the local buses.

Wonderful, friendly, caring staff

The Divi is a beautiful resort. This is our third visit and will continue going back. The staff from the front desk right down to housekeeping are wonderful people. We have made some great friends. Can’t wait to go back!!

Traveler's tip on dining

A great variety of food options to choose from. You can never go hungry.

One year anniversary

My husband and I returned to this hotel for a second time to celebrate our one year anniversary and we were just as satisfied with our stay this year as we were on our honeymoon. It’s a great place for a traveler on a budget witout having to spend to much time planning!

Love it will revisit next year

We had alot of fun, would go back next year. Equipment for snorkeling was included, along with bike rentals, kayaking, and rock climbing wall. Alot to do never had to leave resort. Very safe, have safety boat out in water when kayaking. Shows every night. We had a great time.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Nice beach, but the rooms and the staff are lacking.

Be very careful- I booked here but, in fine print on my reservation, my room was at Divi Village. The room smelled overwhelmingly moldy. The staff at Divi Village is very rude and unhelpful, and I would recommend making reservations at all the restaurants when you first get there, if you can get the concierge to help you (we couldn’t). The staff at Divi Aruba and the Tamarijn seemed better. Red Parrot and Ginger were great, Paparazzi was not so much. You would probably have better luck asking hotel staff to donate an organ to you than you would trying to get bottled water at this place. The beach was gorgeous and never crowded, and the outdoor and restaurant areas of the hotel were clean and well-maintained. Wish I could say the same for the room.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Make all your dinner reservations as soon as you get there.

Fun and friendly stay

The only negative for us was the bathroom in our room. Looked a bit moldy, dirty, and was on the smallish side. The room itself was comfortable but a little dated. As for everything else, it was great -- the front desk and activities people were friendly and informative, and there were enough places to get drinks and food. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was good, with other lunch choices at the different bars as well. The restaurants for dinner were not great. We left the hotel for dinner on two of the seven nights we were there. Overall, a great place to visit. The beach is beautiful. If you are not very picky, then this is a great spot. Otherwise, you may want to pick one of the fancier high rise hotels and choose to eat out every night.

beautiful beach

I thought the Divi had the best beach on the island. It was not crowded and has a beautiful view of the sunset. The only problem we had was the people at the front desk were not friendly or helpful. The food was good and there were many options.

Not impressed

We agree that the beach area for this hotel is very nice but the hotel lacks in many aspects. We stay for 12 days and the food was good but usually the same. They have only apples and oranges; never tropical fruits at lunch and dinner. Bars open only at 11:00. Sometimes it was difficult to find a free table at the buffet restaurant and not all staff members were helpful or friendly. We stayed in other Caribbean islands and we can say there are much better and beautiful places, with very friendly people and tropical atmosphere. This place is too European, we did not feel in Caribbe.

Traveler's tip on dining

Red Parrot is the best restuarant.

25th Anniversery In Aruba

We had the best vacation of our lives. The whether was perfect, the hotel had exceptional staff and services, the food and drinks where fabulous. The best part was we got to watch a sunset wedding every night, and for a pair of romantics like us it was paradise.

Overall Wonderful Stay

Great deal for all inclusive package. The staff was extremely friendly and nice. The food and drinks were great. Liked the entertainment at night. Amazing axis to a huge beach!!! Although one difficulty was getting reservations at the restaurants. If you like to sleep in, set your alarm by 7:30am to get a reservation. Also thought the rooms need some updating. I would recommend the hotel and enjoyed my stay!!!

Perfect place for us

We found the Divi AI to be the perfect laid back AI destination. We have stayed in huge AI resorts before with tons of noisy activities and this is not the place for that. The beach was seconds from our room and we spent the days on lounge chairs enjoying the fantastic view and relaxing. They upgraded the bed linens, while we were there, and it is a nice improvement in the rooms. We usually ate at the buffet for dinner, because the line in the morning to make reservations at the restaurants was not worth my time. We found the buffet fine for us and enjoyed the location right on the beach. We would certainly return to the Divi.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you enjoy snorkeling, just rent a car for the day and drive to the beaches. That’s where the boats take you anyway. We used the hotel’s equipment and had a great day at different beach locations while enjoying the island.

Very Comfortable, Great Location

The Hotel staff was more than helpfull, the locaton of the hotel was great, We stopped by a few other beaches & hotels on Palm beach (which were nice),but if you are looking for more of a less crowded area, than this hotel is a great spot.

Traveler's tip on dining

When staying at the Divi -All inclusive you have quite a few dinning choices, if you want to try all the restaurants durring your stay, reserve your place as early as possible for dinner

They get you coming and they get you going...

the hotel was medium at best. The food was sub par and the Variety was seriously lacking. The wait staff seemed upset all the time, lack os enthusiam. The hotel went as far as trying to charge my credit card when i wasnt even there for calls i was not making... So all and all i give them a 2 out of 5, stay somewhere else i promiss it will be fun. i loved aruba becuse i was there on my honey moon and i got the dine around package.

We didn’t want to leave

From the moment we arrived at the Divi we were in heaven. We read a lot of questionable reviews before we booked, but I’m here to say unless you’re an uptight type of person, this place is amazing. The food was great, we actually liked the buffet more than the ala carte restaurants which require reservations. The drinks are good (although maybe a little weak). The beach was beautiful, the pool could get a little busy, but we never had trouble finding chairs. Having the sister hotel just a short walk down the beach & the casino across the street was just another bonus. We had the greatest honeymoon & we can’t wait to go back!!!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

We really enjoyed taking the bikes into town. Gave us the freedom to take in the island without worry of time or money.

Paradise...

This was our second time in Divi and once again, a great vacation... The beach is beautiful, it is relaxing and peaceful. Our son loved the pool and the ocean, but when it came to the night and things to do, there were isues. It is more of a place to go and relax, enjoy a drink, and kids get bored. The food is great. Don’t listen to some picking thru the menus and talking about how food is this or that. There are about 6 restaurants, buffet, plenty to eat, so you will not be hungry, for sure! Frozen drinks were fantastic! We did have a problem with the hotel room, toilet not working properly, ants, but it was resolved and you move on. You are there to enjoy the Aruba and its beauty, the ocean and the beach, not the hotel room or particular food. So, will I go back, yes! Maybe with a few more toys for my son, this time.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Make sure to enjoy doifferent non-motorized sports offered at the resort, because they are a lot of fun. And, during the day, for about $7.00 the cab can take you to a fun water park. But, it is $30.00 per person to get it...Next time, we are renting a jeep they offer at a resonable price...

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and the bartenders and workers were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel and Aruba to anyone. !

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Go into town which is about 10 minutes away form this hotel and shop around and try the local restuarants and bars. You can catch a cab from right in front of the hotel and the bus is also there too

Good hotel

Ok, I hate writing reviews, but I guess I’ll do this one. My fiancee and I have stayed in fancier hotels, so I’ll say this is not a five star hotel. The stay was nice overall, good beach, good water, good lounge chairs, and available most of the time. The drinks were surprisingly good, not watered down as they are in other hotels. The food was (and I have to agree with other reviews) ok. It was not bad but the variety could use improvement. The hotel redeems itself with the fact that there are 3 or 4 specialty restaurants, that are included in the price, and are quite good (Paparazzi was definitely a winner). The rooms were clean, beds good, and the service was also very good. Overall 4 stars.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Enjoyed the submarine tour, as well as the discover Aruba bus tour. Also check out Marandi restaurant, best sunset ever (have to take a cab there, it is behind the airport).
