Roaches galore!
I stayed in several hotels on several Hawaiian islands...this was my least favorite of them all. We stayed in room 324, it is owned privately and rented out by the hotel. You dont get hotel services or room cleaning during your stay, unless you pay extra. No air conditioning. Plumbing issues caused a horrible high pitched whining noise. Roaches of every variety are all over this place. We even had roaches in our lugauge when we got home to NY. The lobby closes early and is gated. I would not stay here again, nor would I reccommend it.
As with all the islands here, if you shop near the main strips or near your hotels, you will pay way extra. Theres always a wal mart near by...shop there, and buy groceries for your stay. STORE ALL YOUR FOOD AND UTENSILS IN THE FRIDGE!!!

As close to the ocean as you can get
We loved this location! The surf was right below our balcony! We went to sleep to the sound of the ocean. No airconditioning in the ocean front locations, but the balcony doors open up and the wind blows right thru. It was wonderful! Would go back in a heartbeat! There are different size units you can rent, so perfect for families! It includes a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the ocean front rooms!
There are units to accommodate families with several children. Just watch the small ones on the balconies!

Nice place
The condo was nice and tidy, equipped with everything needed, including free wireless internet access. Our condo had mountain view and faced a frequented road. Thus, the level of noise was quite high.
