Moderate price, good location
Orion is walking distance to Castle Hill and transportation. Nice rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Not bad, but a little overrated
Stayed here for 6 mites with my wife for holiday. Our room was in very good condition with a nice king size bed. Although small, the room had a good layout, fridge, and good shelf space for storage. I found breakfast (served 7-10) to be just okay, with a small number of items. The omlette was very good. Service at the front desk depended on who was there. The folks during the day are generally very good and friendly. As another reviewer noted, the large man who works nights is not very friendly. We did not have heat in our room and when I went down and nicely asked about this he told me very flatly he knew nothing about the heat, with a look of no concern at all. The shower was also very narrow and the showerhead incredibly difficult to use and control, although that may have just been a problem in our room. The area where the hotel is located, while convenient, has no charm at all. Also there is no place to go for a late nite meal. I did however discover that you can get Pizza Hut to deliver. In response to another review, I would say the hotel is a good 30 minute walk to the top of Castle Hill and 20-30 minutes to cross the Erzabet bridge and get to Vaci utca. I will say for the price we paid, we got our moneys worth. We have been around the world and thought Budapest was one of the very best cities we have visited. The people were nice, the food was good (if you do your research), and the architecture is incredible. Enjoy!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Bring euros. They are widely accepted and it is not easy to get your hands on forints. There were very few US bank ATMs and I did not want to use Hungarian ATMs not knowing what exchange rate I would get. Also buy a multiday transport pass at an underground metro. Closest one is at Bethany ter or Vorosmarty. The buses, in addition to the trams and metro, were easy to use. The only US ATM we saw was Citibank and there is one at Vorosmarty. The hotel uses an excellent cab service.

Good Choice
We enjoyed our stay here and recommend it relative to the location, price, and quality. The staff members were exceptionally nice and helpful. The only possible negative was the fact that the room was a little small as are lots of rooms in Europe.
