Very satisfied!
My stay was for one night but it was very pleasing to me. I travel alot & for that price for such a pleasant stay you can’t beat it. I have never stayed at Hampton inn and suites in New Orleans before but I’ll definitly recommend it to my family when they visit New Orleans. Thanks Expedia for opening up my eyes to a new place to sleep when I return to New Orleans!!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
You do have to walk a Lil ways to get to Bourbon & canal but for a young couple or an in shape older couple....the walking isn’t too bad!

Comfy hotel in walking distance one of NOLA’s finest
If you have no purpose other than to be at the convention center this hotel is perfect. Cozy well maintained and has a nice little park accross the street. If you are a jazz fan the Howlin wolf is crawling distance away. And if you do not mind walking (in groups of three or more) the "quarter is not all that far away either.

Original installations
Original concept - restore an old warehouse! Do not ask the people at reception about local and surrounding touristic attractions (for example Swamps, Plantations...) - they seem not to know even where they live! The concierge, however, provided excellent and timely support to get tickets for a local event.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
If you are willing to walk 15 minutes to get to the French Quartet, go for it! Better not aski at reception about events and local attractions - you will get no useful answer.
