Extended Stay America Pittsburgh - Monroeville

Loved it

Clean room, friendly staff, very reasonable rates - the kitchette was very convenient - we saved money by having breakfast in the room each morning. It was also nice to have some real chairs to sit in and a recliner, besides just the bed. Room also has a desk and a small dining table. I am returning to the area in the fall and am planning on staying there again. Obviously it’s not luxury accomodations, but it’s clean and reasonably priced.

The hotrel was portrayed as a 2 star hotel and in actuality, was a one star. The front desk cared little for us when we checked in. On trying to reach another room and inquiring at the front desk as to be connected, the attendent was rude and argumentative over this request. The rooms gave an impression of being hastily and spotedly cleaned and I cant remember a hotel that still uses a 21 inchTV

We enjoyed our stay very much.The mini kitchen is great if you don’t want to eat out every night.The only negatives are the beds are hard and they don’t provide dish soap for the mini kitchen.It seems trivial but if you’re only there for a few days it’s a waste to buy the soap and throw it away.I’m sure that enough people leave it there to be available to the next guest.(the maid service won’t do your dishes).Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Cooking meals in your room will save you money on eating out every night.It’s a minimal kitchen but very workable.

Decent place to stay for not a lot of money

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff members were very helpful and concerned about my comfort during my stay. The only negative thing I would say about my experience was the fact that my non-smoking room smelled a lot like cigarette smoke. I think it was coming through the ventilation system in the bathroom because that is where the smell was strongest. I’m sure they would have found me another room if I had asked but it wasn’t a huge deal. Very close to the Monroeville Mall and there are a few good restaurants within walking distance (Primanti Bros. right next door).

Great place to stay for the money!

The location of this hotel was perfect. It is surrounded by lots of shopping, restaurants, and only about 15-20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. The kitchenette was just what we needed. It had a full size fridge, microwave, single kitchen sink, and two-burner stove. There was even some dishes and silverware in the drawers. The hotel has quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM, which everyone around us seemed to respect. We didn’t hear much of anything during the night. The room was very clean and the front desk people were friendly. The only thing that we didn’t like was that the mattress was very stiff! For the money, it was a perfect place to stay.

Great Hotel

The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and courteous. The room was sparkling and shiny in cleanliness and taste. The bed was comfortable. Finally, the room was quiet, the water hot. Overall, an excellent experience.

Not impressed

THe beds were too soft. The heat regulation was very poor. The carpets were dirty.
