Outstanding Hotel

Great place to stay right in Whistler Village. Nice stores across the street. You have an IGA store that sells everthing. Wine & liquor store, drug store right next to everybody.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Go up the mountain beautiful view. The restaurant on top of the mountain was very good. Ziplining was awsome. The sea sky hwy. have be paved for th Olympics beautiful drive.

Wonderful place to stay

We went to the Summit Lodge for a quick trip to Whistler and the hotel was great. It was clean, had a nice kitchenette, comfortable and had very friendly staff. They gave us a free upgrade to a nicer room and were very quick to attend to your needs. It had a lot of restaruants close by and was pretty close to the main stroll. If I’d be going back to Whistler, I’d definitely stay here again. Best deal for your money.

Very Impressed

Great place to stay. Very Centrally located. Only downside was that we were not aware ahead of time that there would be a charge for overnight parking. We decided to stay a 2nd night - manager gave the room to us for the same rate as the one booked through Expedia.

Ok but not really that good

The hotel is kind of old. Carpet appears old and I am not sure if it is dirty too (dark color, hard to tell but does not give me clean feel). It is more like motel kind of feel. Central location, but there are tons of hotels there that are nicely located. It is a tourist town anyway.

Great stay

Good value, very close to the main drag. Also across the street from the main grocery store, and having a hotplate, microwave, pots, pans and utensils was very nice. The lifts are within about 15 minutes walking distance, but there was an on-demand shuttle that was very quick. Would definitely return.

Convenient location to the village

We were greeted by a friendly and informative front desk attendant. Our room was clean and the accommodations were as expected. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice having the kitchen and everything worked well. It was great that the day we checked out we were allowed to leave our car in the garage and pick it up after we skied. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just right.

The staff was very pleasant, particularly the shuttle driver. That was a great service. The room was perfect for our needs with extras like bathrobes. Very clean and nicely furnished. I like the idea that it is a dog friendly hotel. Good location too. Twenty dollars/day for garage parking was a bit steep but free wireless made up for that.

Second time there. I will stay there again

I really like this hotel. nice part of the village. Can walk anywhere from there. To ski they have their own shuttle that takes you to and from the lifts which makes things really easy. Rooms very nice. Facilities very nice. Great value.

Awesome!

Clean condo with great location and friendly staff. We will return for our next visit to Whistler in winter or summer. Easy walk to everything in village. The market and Brew House are just across the street. No ski in / out. Could walk to slope but free hotel shuttle runs all day with pickup every 15 minutes so no need. Less than 5 minute ride to gondolas.

Nice Place!

Quiet hotel yet close to amenities. This is no 5 star, however, it is clean and in good condition. I would stay there again.

Summit lodge and spa- pros and cons

the hotel overall was acceptable. the front desk staff were friendly and very professional. very informational as well. double queen bed room was smaller than some of the previous pictures that I saw online of other traveller photos. It’s a very pet friendly hotel, but the dog next door needed to be silenced because the walls were relatively thin and barked at a constant rate of 10 barks / 5 seconds. The rooms were well equipted with all things needed including knives cutting board, can opener, bowls, cutlery, fridge, etc. beds were spacious with 3 pillows each. Relatively thin blanket however. There was a constant buzz that occured throughout the night maybe from a ventalation system I have no idea but too exhausted from skiing to care.Got a room for 4 but only 2 chairs. Very clean and tidy. never saw any staff except front desk. The hot tub was constantly broken. There was no clear attempt that it was being fixed. The pool was "heated" but still cold. The sauna wasn’t even on when I went and had to be manually turned on and only began to warm up after 30 min and is tiny. i would say it’s only 2 meters by 2 meters. In terms of a hotel, it meets a travellers needs. but if you’re looking for luxery, this is not the place to go. you pay for what you get for. and in terms of pricing, it was a very decent price in terms its location in whistler village and barely a 5 min, if not 3 min sprint from the hotel to the skil lifts.

Excellent service and accomodations!!!!!!

Hotel was clean, very comfortable and a great price! We travelled with our 8 month old and 4 year old and it was almost perfect. The pull-out couch mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, but fine for a 4 year old. The kitchen was well stocked with almost everything you need to cook. It did not have a stove/oven however. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We called the front desk for an extra sheet and they sent it up within about 2 minutes. The staff washed all of the dirty dishes in the sink each day, which was very nice. Would go back for sure!!!

This hotel was centrally located, very clean and had a great sauna and jaccuzi. The staff were friendly and the kitchenette helpful. I can’t wait to go back!

I’ll be skiing at Whistler next season and staying at Summit Lodge

The entire experience in Whistler was wonderful. The Summit Lodge is very nice. The have underground parking, Beautiful rooms with fireplaces and balconies, a kitchenette and more. The service at the desk was very efficient and the location of the hotel is perfect for the best restaurants. It’s a great place to be. The zip line tour was the best. Thanks Summit Lodge and thanks Whistler.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Ziptrek was the best. You have to do it. I can’t wait to come up in the winter and try it again. Oh yeah, I need to go skiing too.

Great Place

Nice room, great service. This hotel is able to be dog friendly but in such a way that only those who are interested in bringing their dogs would even notice - i haven’t stayed in many dog friendly hotels but that seems like it would be pretty tough to pull off.

Great experience

This was my second time at the Summit. Our stay was wonderful. I would walk to the ski lifts every morning (although they do have a mini bus to take one there). The restaurants, bars, nightclubs are within a 5 minute walk’s distance. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. The staff are very courteous. The bar serves an excellent selection of cocktails.

Traveler's tip

7th heaven is the lift to catch at Blackcombe for the best views on a sunny day. The Cypriot restaurant in the village (I think it is called Kypriaki Norte) serves some of the best lamb I have had and the portions are very generous while it is not at all expensive. Skiing at Whistler is such a great experience and the nightlife so vibrant!

Beautiful place, excellent location, outstanding service!

What a great hotel, and the service was just amazing! The location is great, right near the Marketplace, convenient to restaurants and not too far from the slopes. Our two kids loved jumping in the snow and then jumping into the heated pool and hot tub. I’d love to stay there again and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Traveler's tip on dining

There is an amazing little crepe shop almost directly across the street from the hotel. (I think it’s called Crepes Montagne.) The prices are high, but worth it!

Would definitely stay here again

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The only possible complaints I can think of is that the refrigerator was a little noisy, and being on the fourth floor, there was also an odd water noise happening in the ceiling above/walls that was a little off putting. Also their pay per view wasn’t working. Other than that, the hot tub/pool was great, the lobby always smelled wonderful and the staff was friendly, the cleaning staff did our dishes and kept the place spotless!

Traveler's tip on dining

We highly recommend the Beet Root cafe directly across the street from the lodge. Wonderful cafe atmosphere, coffee was awesome too. The food was the perfect start to a day out in nature. Carumba in the main village was great for a dinner option.

If you can see the mountain--get on the gondola because its is usually in the clouds and you can’t see anything!

Hotel needs new beds

Our only complaint on our 7 night stay was that we found the bed and couch we switched in the room’s arangement. This was easy to see since the fireplace could not be seen because the foot of the bed was 2 1/2 feet infront it. Also the wall heater/air conditioner was less than 1 foot from the bed at the headboard. The last clue was that to go outside on the patio, you had to squeeze between the door and bed to get to the door. Since our room was warm the fireplace was never used but the AC needed to be turned on and since it was less than 2 feet from your head while in bed, you either couldn’t hear the TV or froze while sleeping. That in combination with the fact that the queen sized bed was very soft and seemed to be concave made sleeping a issue. The final night of the stay we decided to use the pull out couch to sleep on. It was firm and far enough away from the AC that we could sleep through the night to catch our 5:45 am shuttle. One thing we did like and we used it when we could was to open the window and let the fresh cool air into the room. Most nights, we still needed to use the AC.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Make use of the in suite fridge since prices in Whistler were much higher than in earlier trip. That when added to the weak dollar could make for an expensive trip.

Centrally located, very clean

My husband and I had a very positive experience here. It was super clean. We loved the kitchenette and ate all our breakfasts in our room. The hotel was in a convenient spot. We parked in one of the common areas which was probably an easy 5 minute walk. We did not have to pay $20 per day for the garage which was good. We would definitely come back to this hotel again.
