Delano Miami - top spot!
Coming from Bondi, Australia - the most visited beach down under - we had high expectations of South Beach Miami. The Delano delivered on its promise with a cross of cool and comfort, we could mix it up with the party goers in the bar or sit and relax by the pool during the day and drink and party through the night - all the while being able to escape to the quiet comfort of our room.

People looking for light and healthy food in South Beach have to stop into Juice and Java - simple and clean healthy food in a relaxed environment.

One of the best in South Beach!
I do have a bias because I like Philippe Starck and I’ve always wanted to stay at this famous hotel. The staff is very friendly and you feel like you are a king the moment you step up to the driveway. The stark all-white color of the room is really refreshing and bright and really relaxes you in a strange way, away from the South Beach that is outside the windows. You feel like you have been taken away to a different world. The marble bathroom is small (only shower stall, no tub), but feels luxurious. The BOSE SoundDock for your iPod is a nice amenity.
Traveler's tip on shopping
1 block from the beach, or you can relax in the non-swimming swimming pool (which at the time was under renovation). Also 2 blocks from the Lincoln Avenue Mall (outdoor mall that spans about 8-10 blocks, free of cars).

Very expensive
Hotel was very nice but not worth the Money. For that kind of money should of had a suite not a normal room.

Wow!! This was for me!
This hotel may not be for everyone due to it’s party scene some nights. Outside of that, it was fabulous and I look forward to staying there again. Private location, quiet during the day and I did not have one bad meal. Great food. The hotel is clean and chic. The staff? Some of the friendliest and most cordial I have ever encountered. And, even though Tuesday night was a party night, I didn’t hear a thing in my 10th floor room. That’s always a good thing!
