Hard to find but rewarding to stay
The hotel is not exactly in Trabia itself, so when driving after dusk some problems with locating the property were encountered. The room was extremely nice furnished with taste and style, adequately spacious. There was a friendly cat roaming around so we decided to adopt a subtenant for the duration of our stay. Highly commendable hotel.

nice place
The views of this place are amazing. There is an ancient tower in view which is lit up at night and looks like a castle. It is at the top of a cliff and has ocean views. The beds were not very comfortable, but we loved this location. It is in a nice little town. The 2 room apartment is great for large families as well. We would recommend it.
difficult to find. Ask for directions from a local! Cefalu was the best town around to visit.

Could have been better, but tolerable
My family and I stayed at the Torre Artale Hotel for a week in mid March 2008. The hotel is located quite far from SS113, so having a rental car is a must. The grounds were lovely and extensive, we stayed in one of the appartments, which was great because it had its own gated driveway for our rental car which made us feel very secure. The appartment was very spacious, its own kitchen/dining room, a large patio with table and chairs (with a view of the sea), two bedrooms and a large bathroom, all very clean. However, only half of the lights worked, the appartment was freezing cold with only one small space heater, and the telephone didn’t work. When we alerted the staff to these problems we were given another space heater and told that the telephone would be fixed within 48 hours, but it never was. When we continued to ask to have a new phone or to have the one in our appartment fixed we were told we could use the pay phone in the parking lot, but we weren’t surprised to find that it didn’t work either. Overall our stay at Torre Artale was tolerable, perhaps it would have been a little better in the typical tourist season.
