Indian Country Hospitality
The Ohkay Casino Resort Hotel on the San Juan Pueblo in New Mexico offers a great location for staying in one place and taking day-trips to interesting and beautiful places within 40-50 miles of the hotel. The room was clean, non smoking, and comfortable.The in-house restaurant was awful. Just convenient. There was no one to help with my heavy bags at check-in, and when I fussed, the manager did it. I was on my own at check-out time. The casino was fine and gave me something to do at night.
Early Autumn is a great time to go. This is an area for artists, lovers of natural beauty and interest in American Indian art and culture. Forget nightlife entertainment, unless you like casinos.
