Great view over Hamida River
Hotel New Hankyu is situated 10 mins from Tsujiki Fish market and 5 mins from the nearest metro station where all the sights are between a 5 and 20 minute metro ride away. Easy to get to from Narita Airport - you take the Express train to Tokyo Station and then its a 10 minute taxi ride from there. All rooms are between the 34 + 36 floors so the views are excellent, however the rooms themselves are a little outdated and could do with some new carpet, but were spotlessly clean! The staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke very good english. If you dont mind the thinning carpet then it is very good value for Tokyo, I would stay there again.
Traveler's tip on dining
Get the freshest Sushi and Sashimi in town at any of the restaurants near the Tsujiki fish market!

Great Views
The New Hankyu Hotel is a fine choice. Located from the 33rd to the 38th floor, the rooms are spacious, clean and very silent. Although the decoration is not very up-to-date, theres something hard to beat at this price range in tokyo: the city at your feet, when you look out your room window. The rooms facing the sumida river and minato/ginza areas have will reward you with views you wont easily forget. The hotel is situated in a very quiet part of town, 5 minutes walk from tsukiji subway station. If you suffer from jet-lag, you might consider other choices in more central locations, once you dont have anything open around the New Hankyu after 11 pm. - except, naturally, the blasting Tsukiji fish market and the small restaurants around it that start serving the best sushi ever at 5am. The hotel crew is very polite (as almost everyone in tokyo) and professional, but all extras at the hotel are way too expensive (laundry, breakfast, mini-bar). I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but there are a lot of many recommendable hotels in tokyo. Whatever you decide when you shop around for a place to stay, just try to get a room up above. Tokyo is quite magic when seen at night from a high building. And there are a lot of those in this amazing city.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Make the best of your jet lag, head to tsukiji fish market around 5.30 p.m- this tokyo landmark its only a short stroll from the hotel.
