Super 8 Motel-Gatlinburg/East

Very dissatified

This motel is very poor to say the least. The shower was nasty and the shower curtain had mildew on it. The pics. on the internet was nothing like the motel was when we got there. The pool was green and not useable. Would not tell anybody to stay there.

Not at all what was expected, not going back either

Sorry, I hate to sound like an a-hole here but the hotel itself is very run down, the pool water was green, the grounds were unkempt, and for only a Hamilton less than other hotels of higher quality it is not worth the money saved. Our particular room was dingy, the carpet felt moist and was definitely dirty, plus the odor was foul - almost like urine. My wife and I were out all of the day after a quick check in so we did not notice these issues during the day. It was so late and we were so tired from hiking all day when we got to the hotel to sleep we just decided to suffer through and leave as early as we could. I mentioned the odor to the front desk as we were leaving and she said "We’ve had some other guests complain about that before". So they obviously did not do anything about it, and probably will not this time either. I cannot recommend staying anywhere else strongly enough! I do take the responsibility of not checking the room more thoroughly, I foolishly assumed a chain hotel would not be in such condition.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

My tip, is to skip this motel. Only 10 more dollars would get you several hotels of much higher quality and cleanliness.

hotel was ok, did not find worth for price paid, breakfast was not offered on sunday.
