Never again
After seeing (and smelling) the room we immediately asked for an upgrade. Instead we checked out early and found other accommodations. This resort is comprised of several time-shares and management agencies. We pulled the short straw. The common areas of the hotel were quite impressive, but the room and its immediate grounds were in very, very poor conditions (no dresser, no garbage, chemical smoke smell, old rusty porch chairs, and an smoke detector that goes off from the shower). agggg..... Expedia was very good at getting us a refund.

Can’t wait to go back!
Cant’ wait to go back! If you want peace, rest, relaxation with all the options of participating in the activities that the Pacific Ocean offers, then the Hanalei Bay Resort, Princeville, Hawaii is for you. My elderly friend and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was full of Aloha with fast, efficient service. We loved the poolside barbecue that was available and the rental shop right there by the pool. We also enjoyed the Wed. night entertainment with the Palmeira Family. Wonderful! Loved the Happy Talk Lounge and wish the Bali Hi restaurant was open.

You get what you apy for
We have waited over 2h to be checked in and the staff was not too friendly about it. Other than that it was OK. We booked it cheep so should not complain.
Take one of the boats tours to Na Pali Coast. It is pricy but worth it! We took the Holo Holo charters and that was the best part of the trip. Very proffesional people:) Kauai is beautiful.Enyoj!
