This place is the only game in town
This was the only chain hotel in town that we could find. It is right next to a truck-like stop (not a problem though) with shopping, a Burger King (closed at the time for renovations) and a Coffee shop. The front desk people were helpful and nice. The breakfast is not free and we were bummed that the Burger King wasnt open so that we could have a cheap, quick breakfast. You are better off buying a meal voucher from the front desk if you want the truck stops Scotish breakfast since it basically gives you free coffee with your meal. See my tip for a great dinner/lunch pub spot. This pub experience truly made our trip in Abington
Traveler's tip on dining
Ask the front desk to give you directions to the tiny town (we learned it has 20 residents) of Crawfordjohn. It is only a few minutes from the hotel. It was one of the most pleasent experiences we had on the the trip. The pub owners were supper nice and we had fun having an American-Scottish-Aussie dialogue session about the economy, politics, culture, etc. Great little pub. PLEASE give it a try!
