Lovely

I recently stayed at Hacienda Jurica with some friends, on a weekend trip to Queretaro. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and such an oasis of calm. The pool is lovely and there are plenty of loungers and towels. You can also eat poolside which is nice. There are other hotel options in the city centre, but it was actually really nice to be slightly out of town - very peaceful. A taxi ride into the centre takes about 10 minutes and is no drama at all. Don’t let that put you off. In my view the location is a draw card. The Hotel is a beautiful old Hacienda with huge vaulted ceilings and pretty courtyards. Much of the original artwork has been preserved, so although it has been modernised in some ways for comfort, the hacienda retains its authenticity.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Do your own research about attractions in the area - the hotel staff aren’t very helpful on that front.

Be prepared to pay for everything

The hotel portray’s itself as an Hacienda with lots of activities. However, you have to pay extra for each one of them. It’s a pity because the Hacienda is really nice. The rooms haven’t been refurbished since the 90’s so be prepared for quite old stuff and they really have to work on the staff’s attitude. The best thing there is breakfast.

Thank you for taking the time to give your opinion on your last trip to Hacienda Jurica. I want to inform you that the hotel has gone over a deep process of remodeling, since 2006 the hotel has been done at least at a 95% percent. We are sorry your experience was not satisfactory…….we take all comments very seriously, weather good or bad. Best Regards,
