Hotel is not in a nice neighborhood and I would not recommend it for family stay.

Great Location and Amenities

Situated in close walk to the Train station and adjacent to a large flashy hotel, this little hotel did just great. The front door had a great presentation and the people are very very friendly. Bathrooms were very nice! Breakfast is complete and again the wait staff very cordial. Did not have dinner there but they do have a piano in the dining room!

Very convenient for trains

This hotel is very close to the main train station and so very convenient for the airport train, long distance trains, and the U-Bahn (city) trams. I had a single room and it was *small*, but very clean and quite comfortable. It had no air-conditioning and I did not feel safe with the window open, because of a very wide ledge accessible from other rooms. It did have a heater, if you are going there in cold weather. Because it is so close to the main railway station, some of the nearby streets were not suitable for late night walks, especially for a woman on her own. However, it was quite possible avoid those streets. Ask at the reception desk for advice on the safest way to get places.

Not a 4-star hotel

This is a very basic hotel, not the 4-star that it advertises itself to be. In American standards, I’d rate it a 2-star, as a Comfort Inn or Best Western is much larger and has more amenities. The hotel is convenient across the street from the Hauptbahnhof and a good stay for a night between flights.

This hotel is located across the street from the main train station in Frankfurt. A good place to stay when passing through. It is clean, not a tourist neighborhood. About a half hour or more walk to downtown.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This is a five minute walk to the station where there are frequent trains to the airport for $4.00 per person. Be sure to buy a ticket, they check.

Good for Overnight Stay

The hotel is perfect for an overnight stay because it is directly across from the main Frankfurt train station. It is a good alternative to airport hotels, because you can train to/from the airport without shuttle buses, etc. The staff was quite pleasant and helpful. The single rooms were very small, as expected, and can be tolerated for one-night stays, but I don’t think I’d want to use it as a base for sightseeing in the Frankfurt region.

Great Hotel in Frankfurt

If you want a great hotel right in the heart of Frankfurt, the Savoy is for you. It is immediately across the street from the main train station (Hauptbanhof), which is what you need to take from the airport to get into the city, the rooms were gorgeous, noise level next to nothing, shades over the windows to make the room pitch black, great bar and, most importantly, a staff that was there for everything. Even our lost remote! It’s about a 5 minute walk from the river Main and about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the main city center with great restaurants, churches, pubs, shops, the Goethe House, etc. I would easily stay again. Great hotel!

Central Frankfurt Hotel

The Savoy hotel is in a very convenient location as it is within walking distance of the railway station and hence in easy reach of the airport. The room was small but reasonably appointed. I only had breakfast in the hotel and this was of an acceptable standard. The front desk staff were friendly polite and helpful. The only problem was a difficulty with the WiFi connection which was eventually solved

Convenient, Cheap, Friendly, Central

The Savoy Hotel is directly across the street from the main train station in Frankfurt, the Hauptbahnhof, which is very conveniently reached from the airport on the S8 or S9 subway for $3.6 euro’s. With a small lobby, a bar with 6-8 sitting tables, breakfast in the morning, etc. it’s really got everything you NEED from a hotel when traveling on business. It is NOT however a deluxe accomodation. While very clean, it is sparse. Convenient yet not in the ’center’ of things. However, the red light district is two blocks away which was interesting to tour thru anyway.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Wi-Fi is available at 9.99 euro’s/day. A tad pricey with the conversion rate but convenient. The trolleys are the way to travel around town and O’Reilley’s Pub around the corner is ACE with big screen TV’s for sports but with a good restaurant as well.

Not impressed

the double bed room was a corner, we couldn’t see each other all the stay.

Clean and comfortable

Clean and comfortable, but they have a business center and you need to buy prepaid cards to use the computers. They were out of cards for the whole week I was there.

Good location, friendly service, best breakfast I had in Europe, great spa and pool. 5 min to train to Airport every 15 min. I can recommend this hotel

Good location and decent but a/c limited to a couple of floors

The location is great. The hotel generally is good. The problems are that it is under renovation (think loud construction) and only three floors have A/C which is an issue in Frankfurt in June. If the listed hotel info indicated that only three floors had A/C then I missed it. It does have a great breakfast that is well staffed and with a good selection of items. The hotel bar is a bit pricey (the most I have paid for a beer in Germany). Also they tried to put me in a smoking room when I had requested non-smoking. I would stay again but I would be careful to clearly state my expectations and confirm them on check-in.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The underground shopping area between the hotel and the train station has several places for inexpensive food and beer dining plus several convenience stores. There is also a cheap internet cafe there.

Excellent Hotel in Frankfort

Clean, confortable, friendly, nice facility and free breakfast with good price. Very close to train station. I strongly recommend.
