Close to the Central Station

This hotel is a good alternative to stay close to the Central Station, in case the other alternatives are booked out you just want to try a different one. The people are professional and friendly. I will come back.

Great hotel in a great location

This was my second stay at the Adlon and it was even better than the first. The price is right, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, what more could you ask? There is an outstanding pastry shop nearby called the Vetekatten. Don’t miss it.

The hotel is fun because the building is older with historic staircase beside the elevator. Very clean and convenient, breakfast is optional. I chose to go to the great vegetarian spot next door. Wow, Lots of cafes and even 24 hour 7/11 convenience store on the corner. No problem walking to the old district, two train depots are accross the street. Good to know the Arlanda express directly accross serves the airport don’t get a cab, public transportation is too cheap and easy! On weekends you can even travel two for the price of one! The famous Ice Bar is also accross the street, and, the oldest active spa is also a Pleasant 5 min walk away. Closed Sunday & Monday the ad is in the elevator. The spa allows pay as you go, has pool, sauna, massage& more and is convenient for visitors. Art deco and historic it’s nothing like the US and a historic spa experience!! A tip on rooms: a "quiet room" at the back could be facing a wall and you may be offered this first. I took it and asked for a change, no problem, I got a lovely room overlooking city life. Altogether great value, easy and very pleasant day and night.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Weekend Arlanda express train is two for price of one( serves airport). Wireless Internet has a charge. I have an iPhone & used hotel computers, available free. There’s a good place to sit in the common room in basement. ( very pleasant). 7/11 store on the corner is great value, you will smile comparing it to the US, no shortage of affordable cafes and small restaurants, even a burger king accross the street for those who must.

The opposite of a huge over-glitzy Sheraton. Small, snug, perfect.

Aldon is a relatively small, compact hotel set directly across from the northern side of the central train station in Stockholm in the same area as the other business hotels. The rooms are small and the frills minimal though there is wired and wireless network and both worked well. The hotel is snug, comfortable, well run, and well maintained. For a traveler who planned to mostly not be at the hotel during his stay, it suited my needs perfectly: a quiet, comfortable, clean room to sleep. I was worried when I booked what the condition of the hotel would be as it was so inexpensive. The worry was completely unjustified. Everything was well kept and the staff excellent.

Impressed

I stay in some FUNNY hotels; especially when I book last minute, and they come up at this cheap of a rate. This hotel turned out to be a great little find, with a very friendly helpful staff. The hotel’s location is right across the street from the main train station/transport hub, and an easy spot to begin your explorations. The room itself was clean, and cleaned thoroughly every morning, but I hardly spent much time in it, with so much other stuff to see and do in the city. I’d recommend it to others, and would stay there again if I ever get a chance to go back again.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Invest in the Stockholm City Bike deal, both rates are a steal, and it’s great way to see all of the city, rather then being stuck underground in subways.

Adlon Hotel is okay, but not great

This hotel has an excellent location close to the central train station. The rooms are adequate. After you exit the elevators, you must open another door to gain access to the hall that your room is located on. Several of these additional doors had steps associated with them adding a little extra difficulty making it to your room with your luggage. The hotel staff was excellent (5) and were very helpful giving us tips about the local restaurants and museums. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location - Clean Hotel, no air cond

The hotel was a really great value for the location. All other hotels in the area were very expensive. We didn’t have to take a cab anywhere. Hotel had good space, very clean and good customer service. The only issue is that if its hot out, there is no air conditioning and when you open the window it is very loud outside. So if its warm there, bring ear plugs.

Great location, just steps from the Arlanda Express terminal and walkable to Gamla Stan, shopping, ferries, etc. Free broadband in the rooms. Our room was almost like a suite, with a separate section off of the bedroom with a small sofa and desk. We had a lovely ROUND room on the corner of the building. Terrific breakfast, too. And a bottle opener in the bathroom :)

Clean, centrally located, and quite nice.

Adlon hotel is located very near the central train station and central shopping district. It was relatively inexpensive and quiet. The free wired internet was nice though it would have perhaps been better if the wireless internet was also free. I also didn’t particularly love having to hand in my room key everytime I left the hotel. Overall though, it was an easy place to stay and I would go back.

Simple and to the point

This is not a fancy hotel by any means. BUT, it is a very centrally located, clean, little room to sleep and rest in for a very economical price. The room is SMALL but does the job. I recommend it to any budget traveller when visiting Stockholm.

Business Travel in Stockholm

Before my business trip, I reviewed several hotels in Stockholm and the Adlon Hotel came through as a reasonably priced hotel with good location. It’s about 3 blocks from the Arlanda express and main train station. Stockholm is pricey, but this hotle is a good deal. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and barely large enough to share the room with a business colleague if necessary. The wireless internet service was spotty inside the hotel, but the cable connected internet was fine. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Be certain to book your visit to the Absolut Ice Bar across the street ahead of time during the day or online.

Great Location

This hotel is in a very convenient spot- it’s about two blocks from the train station, which is where you can get the Arlanda Express to/from the airport. It’s parallel to one of the biggest shopping streets in the city, and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the popular Gamla Stan area.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Make sure you ask about the internet connection, as they have 2 options. One if free, but it is slow speed and you have to log in every 20 minutes. The other costs extra money, but it’s a faster connection and stays connected for 24 hours.

a lovely place to stay when touring in Stockholm

only two minutes of walk to T-central station and very close to the nearby tourist attraction: Galma Stan(the old town), city hall, and walking distance to Slussen. The hotel is cute, clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is nice and in decent price compared to the living costs in Northern and Western Europe.

great hotel, great location

This is a great little place for a few days. It is about 500 yards from the main central station- so you can easily get there if you are coming by train. Also, if you are flying into stockholm, take the arlanda express, it is MUCH cheaper than a taxi. The hotel was nice- small rooms, but internet and a very helpful staff. Beds were terrific. We’ll stay there again for any time we need to spend in Stockholm.

Good hotel for good price

For this price is hard to find something in Stockholm. Great room, bad window view (courtyard or sth. like this), but room very good.

Best Hotel In Stockholm

Good location (very close to the center), but not very safe at night. The hotel is decent based on the prices in Stockholm but not great.

Nice hotel, grreat location

This is a nice, simple hotel steps away from the train service to Stockholm Airport and a few minutes walk away from the shopping and cafes of Stockholm, making it my hotel of choice when I’m in Sweden.

Lovely, and excellent location

The Adlon is just across the way from the train station, so we got there easily from the airport and got off to Norrkoping (to the South) easily, too. There is internet service in the room. Really pleasant room and the breakfast (which wasn’t included with our deal) was still very good, convenient, in a lovely room. Highly recommended.

Charming and comfortable

A very comfortable hotel with charm and character. Hotel staff members are friendly and quite helpful and most importantly speak English quite well. My family had a wonderful visit to Stockholm which was enhanced by our stay at this lovely hotel.
