Great Location,Spacious Rooms, Helpful Staff
We picked SunSet Inn and Suites based on a guide book review and web reviews. It couldnt have been a better choice. We stayed there prior to going to Victoria and again on our return. Both times we were upgrade to a larger suite of rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They had a small kitchen and a dining area next to it. The continental breakfast in the morning was simple, cereal, bagels, bread, fruit, juice, coffee but that was not a problem as there were plenty of markets close by where one could buy other food to eat if you desired. Breakfast was in the hallway of the lobby and you had to bring your food back to your room to eat. This worked our fine for us since we had a fridge, toaster, etc. nice dinette set to sit at. You did not need a car to see the city. The public transportation is fantastic which we fully utilized. We like to walk an saw everything on foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of restaurants close to the hotel. There was an excellent Greek restaurant (Stephos) around the corner as well as a Transylvanian pastry shop. If we were to return to Vancouver, we would definitely book at this hotel again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
A car is not needed in the city center. Bus, small ferry boats, walking or bicycling is the best way to get around. There are a lot of small markets where one can buy fruit or even eat at which not only save money but are fun to try.

Sweet Hotel
This place was much nicer than expected. Great location, quiet, and really close to downtown- but not so close that its loud and crowded. Great place to start your long walking tour of Vancouver.

Perfect location
We were very pleased with the hotel; it exceeded our expectations. The free parking was a nice bonus. We parked our car and took walking tours from the hotel, as it is in a convenient location, near our favorite neighborhoods and parks. The staff were helpful, and we were upgraded to a larger suite. We ended up staying an extra night.
