A fine budget stay in Berkley
The Holiday Inn Express Berkeley is clean and standard and everything you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The only negative is the pervasive smell of cigarettes in the hallway and that one of the vending machines broke while we were there. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The desk staff was especially friendly and the parking was convenient. It’s a fairly central location for sight seeing in the area, though not close to BART. We would stay here again.
Call the hotel to assure adjoining rooms before your stay.

Good location
Nothing bad to say about this hotel at all. Breakfast was included in the price and the the room was clean!

Decent hotel
Decent hotel. I stayed there couple times visiting my son in UC Berkeley. The overall area is not good, but it’s close to UC Berkeley. Free parking, quiet rooms and breakfast included.
