Not as nice as expected
We stayed here to be close to Lakeland for a spring training tiger game and this hotel is about 15 minutes away from the stadium in Lakeland. I’ll start with the things I did enjoy. The service was nice and friendly and the breakfast was a nice thing in the morning. The pool really looked nice but it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It was probably 9’ x 15’ which is fine for a few people but any more than a 4 or 5 people and then it becomes real tight. The outside of the hotel looked nice and well maintained. Now the things I really didn’t enjoy about the hotel/motel. Every time we walked in the room there was a strong cigarette smell right away but went away after walking in a few feet. I am an ex-smoker and cigarette smell usually doesn’t bother me at all but this was a strong smell. The mattress was smaller than the box spring and horribly stiff and uncomfortable. All the rooms had this mattress/boxspring combination. The room furniture was all made of metal (dresser nightstand and table). It was like opening a filing cabinet. Some of the buttons on the tv remote didn’t work. There was no internet access (no wi-fi or ethernet). When I moved the nightstand to check and see if we were forgetting anything, 20 beer bottle caps and cigarette butts that were stuck behind it hit the floor (not from us). I would not recommend this hotel for a stay in the future.

This Hotel was a Blessing
We were attending the Lakeland Revival. The Super 8 in Mulberry was a great value for the week we stayed. The drive into Lakeland is not as far as it looks on the map too. SNAPS to the employs they were Helpful and Friendly any time of the day or night. We prayed blessing on this hotel!!
Mulberry must be a safe town because it is well patrolled. Law-breaking is not allowed here. As you site-see, there are yummy places to eat down the road. You will not go hungery in Mulberry. Did I mention this Super 8 has a clean swimming pool that is covered?
