Ramada Norfolk Airport

It was okay

The hotel location was easy to get to but at night it seemed thats when the other hotel guest like to get out and talk loudly and drink outside of the other hotel guests rooms. Aside from that it was okay.

Great Place!

Very nice staff. The pool well kept. Rooms are nice. A little hard to find but overall great place to stay.

DISGUSTED

My husband & I were here from 08/14-08/18/09 for a family wedding. The room was filthy!!!! Upon check in, there were cob webs and large spiders in the corners. There were dead bugs in the ice bucket and its accompanying tray. The sheets had visible stains that were not removed in the laundry process. The refrigerator contained items from the previous occupant. I purposely poured a can of soda into the ice bucket to see if it would be cleaned. SURPRISE!! The housekeeper wiped around the bucket and placed it back in service.The hotel chain RAMADA used to be a symbol of excellence, my how the mighty have fallen. I will never stay at another RAMADA facility in my travels.

Home away from Home

The rooms were clean and fresh. Breakfast was good. Pool was great. Beds were comfortable with lot of pillows. Access from the road in front was a little difficult with heavy traffic but not impossible.

The refrigerators & microwave make it possible to cook in the room and save money on eating out.

Watch out for the hidden additional cost for staying at this hotel!!

This hotel has no airport shuttle service. So figure it costs about another $15 to $20 for RT cab fares (from the Norfok airport)if you use this hotel.

Horrible Entrance, Great Room

Room was very nice, clean and internet access was fast. Actually getting into the motel from the main road required a u-turn.

Good location

The hotel is under renovations, but the work areas are isolated from the guests. We did not experience any inconvenience during our two night stay.

My room

my room wasn’t too bad, except it was supposed to be non-smoking, however smoke came through the vent from the room next door and the whole night I had a terrible time sleeping because of the smell. The towels could have been better too.

Horrible

Do not stay here, black mold all along seals in bathroom, shower curtains nasty, disgusting musty smell. I paid over alot to stay here because it is close to the airport and there was no shuttle! Lousy hotel, would not recommend.

I would recommend the hotel

The hotel was fine. I was under the impression that the rooms had a refrig. I guess I was wrong or maybe in researching I may have mixed this hotel up with another one. the one thing that I think would need improvement is during the continental breakfast, they need a much bigger toaster. The line was held up because there was only one toaster and it only had two slots.

SLEAZY

The drains of the sink and bathtub were blocked and emitted a fould stench. Hotel charges $1.00 per page of a fax transmission received. Breakfast - no regular milk or creamer, but plenty of flavored creamers were available. Management indifferent and not friendly.

Needs maintenance

Unfriendly staff, broken toilet, broken drawers in chest, non-smoking room smelled of smoke, overall bad experience. Would not stay at this location again.

Worst experience ever

I could not believe that a hotel could be this bad. The rooms were absolutely disgusting. Cieling crumbling, paint peeling, dirty,and a horrible smell was just the beginning. I was afraid for my life, thats how bad the area was where the hotel was located. The only thing I can recommend is that this hotelNEVER be allowed to service any of expedia’s guests.

Unimpressed

Room was in general disrepair (though clean) - wallpaper falling off - carpet trim coming unglued - furniture chipped and/or broken - shower walls lacking chaulking - mold on shower curtain - tub wouldn’t drain. On the positive side, the exterior and grounds were clean and well-maintained, staff was pleasant, lobby was clean, breakfast was adequate.

OK for one night.

No clock in the room. Poor TV reception. Bed spread had stains on it. Check in time took too long - seven people in line.

needs improvement

The hotel needs some major improvment. Many of the doors I noticed had been broken into hopefully by the hotel staff. Looks as if they are trying to make improvements but have a long way to go. The continental breakfast was nice but the staff who runs it needs lessons in manners. She constantly complained out loud about guests and how they bothered her. She also would complain if you wanted breakfast before 630 like it was against some kind of hotel rules. For the money I am sure I could find a nicer place to stay, there were many others around the Ramada. Overall my stay was quiet and non disturbing but would not stay there again.

Hotel service was poor. Rooms were not cleaned daily. No fresh towels.

Not Clean

Hotel was run down, and on close inspection, there were old bugs hanging in the corners of the rooms. It was not clean, wallpaper old, fixtures old. Looks like it could use a compete re-do.
