Definitely the place to stay

Everywhere we went in Greece, people told us Vouliagmeni was where the rich people stayed--much like a resort. The price from the U.S. was average--not expensive at all--so it was a wonderful surprise that the hotel stay was so pleasant. The food was great--the biggest breakfast buffet I have ever seen that was free with the room--and the staff became our friends over the week, treating us so special. I don’t care how much of a hassle it was to get back from Athens every evening (though we eventually learned the bus and metro systems), it was well worth it to get back to the hotel, enjoy a glass of wine at the bar and being served with a plate of cheese and spreads complimentary, and recounting our day with the staff. It was made the trip to Greece that much more memorable! I will definitely stay there any time I go to Greece.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Riding the bus or metro only cost 1 euro but we often could not find out where to buy the tickets so ended up riding free...no one checks!

Can’t wait to go back

This has been the best hotel of the four weeks I’ve spent in Greece. Its two restaurants were first class, and the buffet-type breakfast (included) to die for. First rate indeed. Cheers!

Bring your appetite and sample the house wine

Plaza Vouliagemen a ’Great Place to Stay’

We were pleasantly surprised with the location of the hotel. From the time we arrived until our departure we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a short drive to the Plaka/Acropolis about 10 miles. The room was small but adequate with clean sheets, comfortable bed and up to date bathroom. Some rooms offered a view of the bay which was approximately 500 yards away. Parking was a challenge since we had to park on the street (first come first serve. The hotel restaurant was very nice and offered exceptional food for the evening meal and with a great buffet breakfast. If you wanted to eat outside the hotel there were at least 6 nice other restaurants within walking distance. Our experience at the Vouliagmen Plaza Hotel was terrific. We would definately recommend it for other travelers and a ’keeper’ for our return trip to Athens.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

There were 2 beaches within walking distance and just a few miles up the coast there were dive shops offering dive lessons. A marina was located across the bay where small boats were for hire. There was a park across the street. Shopping was within just a few miles or if you wanted to have a coffee or drink on the water front there are numerous cafe close by the hotel.
