Great Value Hotel
Tia Hotel was a great value. The hotel is a bit out of Old Town, but in a 15 minute walk you are there. The neighborhood of the hotel looks very Communust-block, but since we werent planning on staying in the room, it didnt matter. Our family of three had two bedrooms, allowing for our daughter to watch her own TV and us parents to have our own quiet time. The rooms were cleaned every day and the decor of the hotel was recently updated. The staff was very helpful with our questions and helped us find the best places to visit. We would definitely recommend Tia to any business and family travellers planning on visiting Riga and not staying in their hotel.

Incredibly Convenient
It was only a short trip that I took, but the stay was awesome! I had no trouble checking in at all. The only thing that bothered me a little was the elevator. One of them didnt quite completely close (and theyre also really small). Really well stocked mini-bar... its the first European hotel Ive seen that stocked Corona beer. The breakfast was good. It wasnt very big, but there were both hot dishes and a variety of meats and cheeses and bread. When I went to ask about the hotel shuttle, the man also provided me information on some other options. Since I was traveling by myself, the room was just the right size. The bathroom was kinda small, but the heated towel rack was an added bonus! The hotel is no more than a 20 minute walk from Old Town, and theres a little convenience store in the basement of a building on your way to Old Town thats perfect for snacks when you start out or when youre on your way back.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
I recommend the Airport Express Shuttle. It only costs 3 Lats and it picks you up at the hotel. Just tell the front desk what time you need to leave, and theyll call the shuttle company and arrange for pick-up.

excllent choice
very reasonable price(stay for two nights and get the third free). And they upgraded us from a standard double room to a suit! The breakfast was awesome with all choices of ham and salami. The location is nice too: Its quite but only 20 mins walk from the center and old town.
Traveler's tip on dining
Every kind of food we tasted in Riga is delicate and delicious.
