Nice place to stay in Carbondale
The Hampton Inn in Carbondale is a nice place to stay, very convenient, just a couple of minutes to shopping and and less than 10 minutes to SIU. Staff was very friendly, very helpful. Gave us great recommendations for places to eat and driving the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. Rooms were comfortable, nice to have a thermostat. The only negative was it seemed as if the carpet had not been vacuumed (we stayed two nights), or vacuumed poorly. Everything else was wonderful and we’d stay here again.

Fine...if it were in Midtown Manhattan
This hotel was extremely expensive for the location. Tucked outside of town, I couldn’t believe the price of the room. Nearly everything was fine, except for the A/C, which we turned down to 65 and never got below what felt like 75. We literally stayed in a 5 star hotel in Chicago 2 weekends before for the same price. Carbondale? There is no justification for these prices!

Great stay at the Hampton Inn Carbondale
We normally stay at another hotel in Carbondale, but they were sold out, so we decided to stay here and were very happy with it. We checked in after midnight and our room was ready and waiting for us. During our 2 night stay the front desk was helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself was clean and the rooms had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
