Excellent hotel with one important caveat!
This hotel has lovely public spaces. The problem is that one should not book a room in the remodeled section. The carpeting reeked of feet and urine. We could not keep the windows open to air the room because the pigeons which roost above the top floor of our wing would fly into the room. Feathers were actually found on our bed! If you insist on a room in the original section, I am sure you will have a great stay. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Traveler's tip on dining
I found Lima to be far too crowded, noisy, and pedestrian un-friendly. Even lovely Miraflores has burglar bars on virtually every structure. But, I must add that I had the very best dining experience of my life at Huaca Pucllana, the restaurant adjacent to the gorgeous archeological site.

Charming Boutique Hotel
We were delighted with this charming Spanish style boutique hotel, well located in upscale Miraflores. Staff was courteous and friendly. The beautiful small inner courtyard and front gardens lent a relaxing air. Despite the absence of some amenities eg. pool etc its a lovely place to begin to a tour of Peru. Wed come back with pleasure.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
If touring time is tight get a taxi to take you to specific sites. Safe taxis are reasonable from the hotel. At the airport counter the "secure" taxis charge 3X the usual rate (but you wont be mugged twice.) The Green Taxi inside the airport building is reasonable and usually reliable. Hiring a taxi just outside the airport building is very risky. Lima traffic is always crazy busy and the driving is aggressive. Leave extra time to get places.
