Not Recommended
Nightclerk needs lessons in politness and hospitality! Surly! Assigned us to a room that was occupied. Luckily I heard someone in there before trying the access key. Cleanliness of room lacking. Broken mirror and bathroom light cover. Very slippery tub and bath floor. Carpet need to meet a vacuum cleaner. Bedding was suspicious. Well worn propety that needs a major upgrading. Oh! and hospitality lessons to the one staff person seen the time we were there!!

Not so good
The hotel was the worst dump I have every stayed in ever. The web photos are all distorted by the birds eye camera lens for good reason. It reeked of being unscrubbed and unkept; the exercise room boasted of crap that did not work and not one on the vintage 80s machines worked; when we sat on the bed, all four ends of the very spongy mattress lifted up as if were threatening to fold up and swallow us; the morning clerk looked as unwashed and unkept as the hotel; and the whole vibe was out of Psycho and I half expected Norman Bates to come knocking. Gallup is a great place but look for a better hotel than this one. Management should do something about it.

Good Value
This hotel was good for the price I paid. The afternoon desk clerk was much more friendly and helpful than the night clerk. I booked a smoking room, did not get one and was unable to change. The in-house restaurant was excellent, friendly staff and good food! The room was large, clean and quiet. I liked the fact that there were interior corridors. The free hot breakfast was good and there was lots of it. I would stay here again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Only a short drive from great shops and cafes. Free downtown parking. About an hour and a half from Meteor Crater in Arizona and less time to Petrified Forest. A good vacation destination!
