Great stay!
This is a great hotel right near Termini station (5 min walk). It is comfortable, clean, and quiet. If you are used to American hotels, it is relatively small and sort of old-ish, but compared to many Italian hotels it is REALLY nice. The breakfast is really good, but be aware that they charge for it (per person) which was not advertised. Overall, the staff is very helpful (they will make reservations for museums and such), the hotel is nice, and the location is great for the price!
Traveler's tip on dining
There is a great little restaurant a few blocks away called Non c’e trippa pe gatti. Here is the address and phone number: Via Urbana, 114 00184 Roma 06 483974 They have a super tasty tasting menu--for cheap! And they have the best homemade tiramisu! Plus the husband and wife owners/cook are really friendly. But don’t go early--they are only open from 8pm-midnight every night!

Great location and price
I had a great experience at Hotel Rex. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was very large for a European hotel room and there was plently of space for all three of us. It is close to the train station, but still far enough away from all the traffic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome.
