Wonderful location and friendly staff
I managed to arrive on the first day of the national vacation -- the height of tourist season. In spite of that, I had a great time at this hotel. It is located right across from the prettiest part of the old resort beach buildings. The single room was very comfortable and everything was in good working order. Free Internet in the lobby. Good bar. Very good restaurant (pricey) on the fourth floor with a nice view over the beach. Excellent breakfast buffet is included. The staff was very helpful. I was in the area specifically to attend the Puccini Festival in nearby Torre del Lago, and they managed to arrange a shuttle van for me so I could leave the car parked in the hard-to-find street parking, which is cheaper than the hotel garage. They also sold me a parking pass at lower rates than are available in the parking machines. I would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable. If you train to Viareggio it is about a 10-15 minute walk from the station, or a short cab ride.
