It’s not Pattaya
A little pricey for Laos but it is the best hotel in the area

Not much choices in Vientaine
By Vientaine small distances standard, this is slightly off the circuit. But considering that there are not too many options, this is OK becasue of its predictable "international" standards.
Bunmala Restaurant : heavily promoted in Lonely Planet is a deception. Or either the Tuk Tuk took me to a fake one. (The one i ended up at - is just not worth the effort, becasue one can get equally good food in the town merely by walking around)

Excellent hotel in a hot, dusty city
It was an great to have a pool in such a hot climate - the staff were always helpful and altough the hotel is on the edge of town, walking around the town meant that we saw more and discovered some great little restaurants. Would definetley stay there again.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Great for families - they have a tennis court, gym and pool - saw several kids and adults enjoying the amenities.
