Beautiful location
We enjoyed this hotel very much. The location was ideal and very quiet. Loved the mountains and the lake. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was cozy and great view. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. A bit expensive, though.

Fantastic setting
The most exceptional thing about this hotel is the setting - a mirrored lake with mountains reflected in the water, with walking, boating, and fishing right at your feet. The hotel is not near anything else, heightening the beauty of the setting. We were given a recently renovated room and it was first rate. A common (4 unit) balcony is attached, and sitting to watch the sunset was really enjoyable. The big downside we had was the lack of sound insulation. Our room had a loft over it (belonging to the adjacent room) and even normal walking sounded extraordinarily loud. If you go, get the room with the loft so you don’t have this effect (or you are the ones causing it). The restaurant is pretty good, the hotel staff competent but somehow giving you the impression you were just a bit of a bother.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
We drove to Lake Maligne and it was well worth it, even though the lake itself was frozen over (late May).
