Great Stay at Low Price.
Extremely convenient location from I-94. Courteous desk staff. Got every special request I asked for in online reservation (non-smoking, 1 queen, 1st floor near exit, pets, late check in) without having to repeat request at check in. Clean, nicely appointed room. Furnishings a little dated, but certainly OK for the price.

Not impressed
No heat in room. They offered to move us to a different room, but said they did not have any "Non-smoking" rooms available. As my son has allergies to smoke moving to a smoking room was not an option.

Good Value
We were on a Michigan to Texas trip and found all motels in the region along I-69 too expensive. Traveling a few extra miles west to Battle Creek proved a good value for us. The room was quiet, relatively comfortable and provided good, basic accommodations. Our only complaint would be the quality of the mattresses...an upgrade seems in order...not awful but a bit overdue for replacement. The room was clean overall but like so many motels reliance on a dark colored carpet masks more grime than necessary...scheduling regular carpet shampooing would be helpful. Decent continental breakfast (bananas were a plus). We would return for the value.
