Stayed Wednesday Upstairs, Stayed Friday Downstairs

We stayed here, UPSTAIRS, on arrival to Bradley International Airport. Staff was business like and effective. The key to the room was tricky and the room had some odors. The breakfast was excellent and there were many workers in the large eating area. We stayed here again but on ground floor, for departure from Bradley. The staff again was business like and effective but the key worked and the room was odor free. Breakfast again was excellent, no crowd of workers, and we were shuttled to the airport with no problems. This hotel served our purpose very well. We would stay here again if we traveled to the Harford area.

Convenient to airport

We only stayed a couple of hours before we caught our flight. However when we arrived at 4am there was not one parking spot. The front desk had no suggestions so we parked across the street at another hotel.

Stayed as an overnight on route to new Hampshire. Hotel was clean and there was easy access to restaurants in the area. Staff was helpful with giving suggestions. Breakfast was basic, but good enough. A good en route hotel.

Enjoyable experience!

I was in town for a local event & party. Professional and efficient staff, well kept & clean room. We were able to find a couple of restaurants open after hours. If we were taking a flight in/out, this is a great location with the frequent shuttles to Bradley.

great for the price

You get what you pay for and for what I paid for I got a little more. Very nice hotel and staff was very friendly. Would recommend and will go again for sure.

Cheap and right by the airport

This was just what we were looking for. A place to stay for the night after a late flight into Hartford. They have an impressive breakfast included in the price with homemade waffles. They have an efficient shuttle system. We stayed one night upon arrival and another upon departure.

Hotel is convenient to airport. Stay overnight to take early flight out of Bradley Int’l Airport.

Have stayed in Lauinta hotels across the country and have always been satisfied with accomodations.

Convenient and close but non-smoking?

I had requested a non-smoking room and was given a "non-smoking" room, but it smelled very smokey, and 2nd hand smoke was coming in through the fan into my room. The room had been heavily sprayed to try to remove that smell, but nothing can cover up that odor--it was a difficult night trying to sleep with that smell permeating everything.

A fine stay in a reasonable alternative to more expensive hotels.

La Quinta has made a sincere effort to elevate it’s comfort level and done an amiable job. The beds were comfortable as are most now in major chains and the morning breakfast fare quite decent. It is a very reasonable alternative to more expensive hotels near the airport.

Check before you leave!

Make sure before you leave after checking out that they do not charge the credit card you gave for incidentals for the stay since you have already paid expedia for the room. They did this to me and it showed up on my credit card statement and I had to call them and get it refunded.

Great airport hotel

I stayed here because I had an early morning flight. The hotel was clean, friendly and I would definitely stay again. I did not get to sample the breakfast because I left by 3:30 am.

Functional

The room was reasonably clean but that is all that recommends this hotel . Nothing to go back for ...just a place to sleep while traveling or catching a very early flight

Great Value for the $$$$

Hotel service was great. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. The pillows could have been better. My only complaint would be the noise level. You could hear a lot of the traffic throughout the night as well as the toilet/shower for the room next door. I was ready to be dissapointed with the stay until we went to the free breakfast. The variety and quality was exceptional and again the staff was very polite & helpful. The shuttle to and from the airport was nice and convenient. I would stay again and request a room on the backside of the hotel away from the road.

low profile

This hotel was comfortable enough, but OLD compared to others on the same road. It just seemed old. We have been in many of this same hotel chain and would rate this a two star rather than a 3 star. Absolutely, no 4 star. Also disappointed that our stay could not go toward out rewards program for the hotel, since we bought entire trip as a package. I don’t recall being told that before I clicked, "buy now".

Traveler's tip on dining

If you are in New England, you have to go to Friendly’s for a pretty darn good meal for your buck. Great clam Chowder, and Ice cream that comes close to Bluebell’s down south!

Airport Motel so Wonderful

This motel was so perfect for an overnight before heading to the airport. Very clean and comfortable...breakfast laid out very early in the morning...you can make your own light, yummy waffles...shuttle leaves every 1/2 hour and picks you up promptly upon your return. I would certainly go back again.

Great place to get a good night sleep before a flight out of Bradley International

The hotel itself is a bit older but is still very nice. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is smaller and it is one of the hotels that have the sink and mirror outside of the bathroom. The bed and the main room was very spacious and comfortable. I picked it mainly due to the proximity to Bradley International and the fact that they had a shuttle service. The shuttle was on time and was free of charge. There were alot of fellow travelers downstairs for an early breakfast and the hotel manager did a good job ensuring that there were enough shuttles to fit everyone. There is a restaurant close to the hotel if you want to grab a bite or a drink. All in all, the price was good, room was spacious and clean, service of the staff was good and I enjoyed my stay. The room was rather inviting actually and the wireless worked well. Great stop over to catch a goodnight sleep before a flight out.

Compared to other low-middle cost motels, this is one of the better. Mattress and pillows were very good. Staff was accomodating but my room was noisy because next to cleaning closet and parking lot.

A pleasant place to sleep

The hotel was well kept including the room and the dining area when I stayed there. The workers were friendly and helpful, which made my visit a pleasant one.
