Great Place to Stay with a Pet
Overall the motel was comfortable. We slept mostly during the day and found the room very well sound proof. Great place to bring a pet. Continental b-fast was better than most. TV channels were ok but could use improvement; need to offer more movie stations and the Weather Channel for travelers. Motel Staff was friendly.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Do not consider leaving pet in vehicle while visiting casino. Mgmt. will call Animal Control to pick them up. Doesn’t make any difference if its cool enough for them to stay in vehicle or not.

Requested non smoking and got smoking. Dirty dirty dirty
Okay, here it was our 23rd anniversary and we were doing a triathlon at Shelbyville and was going to do some gambling. Stay at Shelbyville right? Since it was all going on there the next day. I requested non smoking from the website when I got the conformation. When I arrived they gave my room away. She said all she had left was smoking rooms. The room smelled like a cigarette butt and the wonderful cleaning staff forgot to pick up a bag of popcorn and pop can out of the bathroom. It was in plain view for gods sakes! The little gal at the desk was new and came up and sprayed our room but it still smelled like a cigarette butt with perfume. Terrible. All rooms in town booked due to triathlon so had no choice but to stay.

Starbucs that is 24 hours within walking distance along with a Walmart is about only plus.

GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT ROOM!
The owners are very nice, the rooms are very clean, and the breakfast was filling. Our whole experience was great. We’d recommend this to family and friends... and people we don’t even know!
