The Lees Inn: Tired but Trying
In Richmond, IN, quality is all relative. It’s a very depressed town, and the few hotels there reflect this. The Lees Inn is toward the top of the price point in town, but for your money, be prepared for a tired room (and hotel) that looks straight out of the 80’s. The room seemed clean on the surface, but walking around on the carpet left my white socks noticeably dirty...yuck. The bed was hard and the pillows stiff and uncomfortable. Standard scratchy white sheets that smelled like bleach, topped with the ubiquitous, slippery floral polyester spread completed the fun. The staff were friendly, and the hotel offers the typical rubbery scrambled eggs, goopy sausage gravy & biscuits breakfast buffet in the morning. (I opted for dry cereal.) For what it’s worth, my niece stayed at the priciest hotel in town (across the road) and said that it was about as ’nice’ as the Lees Inn. I’m just glad that I don’t have any more travel planned for this neck of the woods anytime soon.

Have always been completely satisfied with this facility.
Excellent breakfast buffet! They have discontinued the early evening "happy hour" that previously had beer or wine available.

Good Older Hotel
For an older hotel, this place was very nice. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the Breakfast. Do not miss the Breakfast. It is so good. Never had a breakfast so good in a hotel before. Will stay here if ever in the area again. Only problem was that my key kept needing to be reprogrammed all weekend and they couldn’t figure out why.
