Worst hotel Ive ever stayed in.
This was the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. The entire hotel had an awful smell. Our room, which was non-smoking, reaked of cigarette smoke so much so that it kept me awake and it was extremely unclean and falling apart. The smell was so bad that I kept waking up in the middle of the night because all I could smell was the stale smoke in my pillow. When we tryed to charge our cell phone using the vanity area plug it was completely dead. I had to get ready the next morning without a mirror since that plug did not work. When I mentioned this to the clerk she was not interested in hearing about it at all and never wrote it down to have the maintenance dept. look at it. As far as the appearance of the hotel as well as our room, the first clue that this was not a good hotel was the fact that safety glass was up to protect the clerk at night. Needless to say we slept with one eye open after we saw that! It also appeared as if they had started renovating the hotel awhile ago and then just gave up. They had taken light fixtures down from the walls and never replaced them so the paint was different in those areas. The area below the bathroom sink had a small fridge that didnt work and the area around it was just plain lumber with nothing to hide the unsightly mess. As you can tell from this review I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I would have much rather paid more money and stayed in another hotel that I would have felt safe, clean and comfortable at.
Traveler's tip on dining
The only nice thing about this hotel was the fact that Cracker Barrel was right across the street. It was so close you didnt need to drive to get to it.
