Great hotel close to the border
Overall the stay was great! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet should be skipped if you have to pay. The WiFi worked but the internet connection was so slow that it took several minutes for Google to come up and was to slow to connect to my company’s servers. I would definately stay here again.

Very Nice
Hotel was very nice and clean. Appears almost new. Room was spacious and well appointed - only curious thing was TV was on a dresser at the side of the bed, not the foot - made watching TV in bed for two people a little awkward. There’s a breakfast "buffet" for $7.50 - we didn’t partake, looked a little sparse for the money. No local newspapers available in the lobby or machines.
Traveler's tip on shopping
If you are going into Nuevo Laredo for shopping, don’t forget your passport or birth certificate. You can get in but you can’t get back! Local merchants say shopping across the border is dead because of the drug wars. You can get most anything in Laredo shops that you can get in Nuevo Laredo, just not as cheap.
